I’ve been here several times with my parents and the food–lots of pasta!–has been consistently good with a good wine selection and great service. However, more than once we have come for a birthday and brought in the birthday cake. Having called ahead to make a reservation and mentioning that it was for a birthday and that we would be supplying the cake, nobody has ever mentioned in advance that there is a cake cutting fee that is significantly expensive. I think it’s $2 per person and per slice? So if you bring a crowd and/or someone wants more than one piece, you can see how that could add up, just to run a knife through a cake. And they will not allow you to cut it yourself at the table.
