Mediocre food, snotty service. I took my two sons for dinner there while travelling through London, and was quite disappointed. My food was only okay (greasy fish and chips, on the cold side) , but was annoyed with the poor quality in the kids dinners. My oldest son (who is not normally a picky eater) didn’t like his pepperoni pizza and my youngest insisted on getting the Mac and cheese, and I can’t believe they are getting away with calling Kraft Dinner a restaurant option! Seriously? What put the whole experience over the edge was the snotty server (I think her name was Sharon) who obviously didn’t want to be there. I guess I can’t blame her for the slow service and poor quality food, but at least pretend that you want to help us. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

Quick Breakfast. Waiting for ten minutes at the front door to be seated can be understandable when the restaurant is busy and tables require clearing, cleaning and resetting. So the alarm bells should have gone off when I had to send back the dirty utensils I was left to eat with. The coffee was good, fast. My wife however had to wait twenty minutes for her water. I ordered sausage, eggs and hash browns. She ordered a BLT. I guess my interpretation of hash browns is wrong. The eggs were cooked fresh and as requested. The sausages were warm, shrivelled and tasted like they have been in warming tray for several hours. Toast was chewy as were the potatoes. The tomato on her BLT tasted like yesterday’s leftovers. Bread was dry. Lettuce and tomatoes stale. They did not have real mayonnaise, only miracle whip. The service staff were nice, cordial…..glazed. I for the life of me can’t figure out why it took fifty minutes to fry two eggs when the rest of the food was precooked. Live and learn, we won’t be back.

Oh My, What was that sandwich???. 21 April 2013, I was at London Shelly’s about 12:20PM, Whoever came up with the idea for that something (undefinable) beef sandwich on the lunch special is most definitely NOT paying attention. My daughter (who is a chef) and I were trying to figure out what went so badly wrong. We ate most of it by picking it apart, meat was ok/so-so, bread was not so great, burnt oil taste, unable to discern any true flavour, and everything else soup and salad was just fine. Back to the whatever it was sandwich PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT TO YOUR CUSTOMERS, My daughter says it was not food that would make you ill, but it would leave you very much confused because the preparation methodology was VERY poor. Service was great, but please get a high chair for the young ones that is useable because no one could find one.
