Ordered delivery. Had the General Tso Chicken, and some Egg Rolls, both were fantastic. Too often a dish labelled spicy is just drenched in a not very spicy sauce, this actually had a decent kick to it, and was delicious. Lots of chicken, and a good relatively thin breading. Very generous portion, if you order with some rice and a couple eggrolls you’ve got an easy meal for 2 (or 3 small eaters). Didn’t come with rice, just in case you are wondering. Will order here again.
I paid for this?. Just had take out from Spring Chinese (January 24, 21:20. Only have this to say: Not going t eat their food again! It was just that they got the soup order wrong. It’s that every single item was at best despicable!
Awesome Place!. We have ordered delivery from Spring a couple times, and have never been disappointed. It has always been tasty and authentic, way better than some of the other Chinese food options in London. After eating at the restaurant we were delighted to have an even better experience, the servers are kind and polite, even bringing us freshly baked buns to try, like we were part of the family. Do not let the decor deter you – You will have a great meal and awesome leftovers from the generous portions.
Spring (), London, Ontario. This is a mom and pap shop. This lovely couple from Tianjin province are very lovely people. It gives you the atmosphere of dining out in remote rural areas in China, as if you are in a house in the village. So, if you are expecting the western standard of service, you may be disappointed. But if you voice your opinion to them, they are more than happy to accomodate you the way you like it. As for the food, they will do the same for you too! You don’t get the typical Cantonese style cooking here. My colleague and his wife who were born and raised Angalosaxon from London Ontario love this place. This couple has been to China and will be returning to China again in the Spring so they should know what they are talking about. Be open minded and try different dishes. As for Chinese from mainland, this may remind you of home although they are not exactly Toronto’s or Beijing’s, or HongKong’s quality. Overall, unless you are willing to drive to Markham or Richmond Hill, this is probably your best bet.
AMAZING!. We weren’t expecting to find such delicious, authentic Chinese food on Dundas St but absolutely everything off the menu is tasty. We stumbled across it after seeing a show at the Palace Theatre (just half a block west) and now we’re hooked. It may be a bit rundown to look at but the staff is helpful and the menu is wonderful, plus very affordable. We order delivery at least once a week. They offer a wide variety of dishes and the best vegetarian selections I’ve seen in a long time. Their portions are enormous but watch out, spicy really means SPICY! If you’re a foodie and haven’t tried Spring Restaurant yet you’re missing out!
Lamb with cumin, lemon chicken, tianjin fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, gao pao chicken!. The dishes that have never dissapointed me, i should try some other dishes they have next time, since i have always ordered the same dishes lolz.09 Dec, 2010Definately the best chinese food in town!. I love their authentic chinese food and totally believe that they offer the best chinese food in town. all the dishes i’ve had so far were awesome. love their hot&sour soup, lemon chicken, tianjin fried rice, chinese mushroom with chinese green and lamb with cumin! totally recommend this place!
Deliciously Affordable. This unassuming gem in the heart of Old East London is well worth the journey. They offer amazingly delicious food served with pride and attention to detail. The owners have a depth of experience, operating restaurants in China and Toronto for several years and are in their first year in London. Lots of authentic Chinese dishes in addition to those more familiar to North Americans. Definitely try the pork dumplings, the spicy eggplant and General Tao’s chicken among other tasty treats. Don’t miss this experience!
