My family has been going to Tony’s since my wife and I had our first date. She suggested the place more than ten years ago, but alas, have moved to Alberta. After 2 years and no Tony’s we were back to visit recently and HAD to stop in. I ordered the meat panzo- large. Just like always. We picked up our first one (we went twice over the two weeks) from the Dundas location. It was like it was 10 years ago. Precisely the same, huge size, deep-fried and A LOT of toppings and cheese. I can eat maybe 1/4-1/3 of it in one sitting. The beauty is that will actually heat well (275 oven until warm through) and the dough doesn’t go crazy. Now, it sounds like a five star- but wait. We ordered again- carry out again (4 kids)- this time from the Southdale location. It was around 3:30 and not it the rush time, yet, the panz tasted the same, just wasn’t the same size. I called to speak to the manager, who was awesome. He understood that was an issue and sounded like he would genuinely look into it. Also, offered to replace it, no issue. We agreed that maybe next year on another potential visit. Great customer service, always tasting product, and consistency over the years (at least at the original location). Five stars for Dundas Tony’s and the staff. 4.5 for the overall experience.
This place has some awesome panzerotti. Tons of filling, and really good size for the price. Get extra sauce on the side though is my only suggestion. I haven’t tried anything else there, but the panzerotti really are amazing, and crazy filling. I always go for all meat, and it is always awesome. The decor is pretty dated and the place looks a little sketchy, but totally worth a visit.
Brutal. There were so many canned mushrooms on it it , the meat amd crust didn’t cook. Sadly so disappointed.This is off one slice.
Nice restaurant with good staff. Very nice and clean restaurant with good atmosphere….pizza took a long time to make especially since we were the only ones there. Pizza was large with lots of topping and cheese, which suits my taste but probably not everyone’s. However they have other menu items that I would go back to check out….went on 15Jan15.
Dear Tony’s, I love you. I have eaten Tony’s since I was little – not often, because it was pricey…but let me say I’ve eaten enough pizza in my life to almost pass as a Ninja Turtle. And I travel enough and have tried other places too. I do love their pizza, but I’m actually writing (considering proposing to) about their panzarottis. You will never in your life have a more satisfying panzarotti experience. We get them on almost every non Holiday occasion (Birthday’s, Anniversaries…) Not super often so that it ruins them, also because they’re pricey…but you can’t help but shed a tear the first time you bite into it, you develop a renewed appreciation for living…and the ability to taste. My sister once told me that some tiny sport bar had the best panzarotti…maybe because they were cheap…I may have actually punched her…eat here…eat their panzarottis !!!!!!!!!
Awesome. The location on Dundas looks like it’s from an old gangster movie. The location on Southdale makes the best pizza though. It’s delicious pizza. Worth the money.
