Horrible service, food was mediocre at best. We had to put our leftovers in the containers ourselves causing a big mess. Their debit machine was not functioning, had to use ATM next door to get cash which tacked on a service fee of $2 which I deducted off the tip. We will stick to Ben Thanh that place never fails and food is great.

Service:When we entered the restaurant it took them a while to recognize us however the tea and menus were given immediately.It appeared that only one person was there to wait tables, handle cash and phone calls, and clean up. I had to go up to the counter to give my order.Food:The pho was decent. The beef was well done despite ordering medium rare which wasn’t a huge issue since it was going to be well done by the time I started eating it. The soup was slightly lacking compared to other viet restaurants. There were double portions of noodles compared to other restaurants, but it was a little disproportionate to the beef.tl;dr Almost non existent service and satisfactory pho.Would I go again? If I was not in a rush, was craving pho, was hungry and was in the area, I might.
Disappointing meal. My daughter and I just finished a take-out meal from this restaurant and I was pretty disappointed. The spring rolls were very greasy and the pad thai was all stuck together as if it was in the fridge and had been microwaved. My daughter got the veg curry meal and thought it was okay– perhaps 7/10. The Bun of beef and shrimp was also just okay. I ended up throwing most of the pad thai away since it was unlikely that anyone would eat the rest. A much better restaurant is Thanh Kieu- if it were located closer to my home, I would definitely have ordered from there. This will be the last time for Vietnam Taste!!
The service is kind of lousy but the food is good and reasonably priced. It’s definitely not the best Vietnamese food I’ve had but it satisfies the cravings.
I ordered delivery today because I was craving pho and I thought I would give them a try. First of all it took two hours on a Monday afternoon! I open the pho and it smells and tastes like dishwater and cinnamon. I try it and immediatly dump it, worst pho broth ever and feel the pho makes or break a Vietnamese restaurant. Rare beef was cooked and gray. No Thai basil hoisin anything. I’m a chef and I highly recommend not eating here unless you wanna throw your money away.
If this is Vietnam…. If this is the taste of Vietnam, it’s not so great. I’ve tasted a number of Viet/Thai restaurants around town, and I was in the area of Vietnam Taste, and thought I’d try it. I had the #27, which was a noodle bowl, with all types of beef (rare, brisket, tripe, tendon, balls). The broth was tasteless, and even some hot sauce couldn’t rescue it. The noodles were ample, and helped fill the bowl. There was plenty of beef, however, some of it had a tinge of green, so that was left aside. Overall, I think I ate 1/2 of the meal. Some of the other diners seemed to be leaving a good portion of their meals behind as well.
