I’d say everything about 3 Brothers is decent or slightly above. The restaurant is small so there’s barely any room to sit and eat. The menu is pretty standard and the shawarma itself is decent to good depending on what you get and when you get it. The garlic potatoes are also pretty standard and their garlic sauce is good. Service is a bit spotty with some of the servers being a bit pushy, but that’s also standard with shawarma places. Overall, the price and quality are alright and the location makes it great for grabbing a snack while you’re walking around downtown, but it’s otherwise unremarkable.
Great service, everything is made from scratch. My friend and I sat down to eat and they brought us over a sample of homemade hummus and homemade turnip. Everything in this place is delicious and the guys working could not be nicer 🙂 Best shawarma in Ottawa in my opinion. Potatoes were amazing and their garlics are awesome!
Th Rideau St area (and Ottawa in general) suffers from an embarrassment of riches as far as shawarma is concerned. There is the palace, the castle, the kabab prince and for the less royally inclined, the 3 (or perhaps more) brothers serve up delicious piles of grilled meat, roasted potatoes and fresh salads! To top it off, the brothers now have 3 branches, with a second shop on Rideau enlivening its far eastern residential area (at the intersection of Cobourg St).This review covers both shops on Rideau: the older smaller one is strictly takeout, while the spacious (and newly painted ) digs at Rideau/Cobourg are suited for a leisurely meal. The service is fast and efficient while the food, freshness and quantities are great at both sites (the Sandy Hill location is far stingier with portions). All in all, a great local business to support in this shawarma-mad city!
