2019/03/20Ahora is a cozy and colourful Mexican restaurant in the basement of a building in the Byward Market area. There is seating for about 30 to 40, in fairly close quarters. It was almost full when I got there at 6 pm, but about half the diners were part of one high school group that was almost finished. A hostess seated me, gave me a menu showed me the free salsa bar, and explained that I should go to the counter when I was ready to order. I picked the Plato del Mar ($14.75) from their Main Course menu section. It is a burrito filed with shrimp, rice, red and green peppers, onions, and guacamole, topped with salsa, melted cheese and sour cream. It came with two sides, and I chose salad and rice (instead of beans). A filling, tasty burrito.
