2019/04/01I ate at Blue Cactus many years ago, so I thought I would check it out again. Its a large, two-story restaurant capable of seating well over 100. The decor is an attempt to create a southwest vibe, with terra cotta floor tiles, dark brown upholstery, yellow ochre walls, some sandstone brick walls, and a few perforated sheet metal sconces over the lights. When I arrived at 6 pm there were only a couple of tables occupied. The menu is fairly large, with lots of pub/bar food items, and many TexMex choices. I had the Fajitas with half Cajun Butter Shrimp and half Ancho Honey Chicken ($25.50). Plump shrimp and slightly dry chicken with six different toppings. The sour cream, guac, pico de gallo, jack cheese and lettuce all made sense. The saffron rice seemed a bit out of place. Not authentic, but okay. Service was okay.
