I had the Baja fish tacos which were fantastic. The fish is cooked wonderfully. The drinks are quite good but are on the expensive side. The sitting is very snug. The tables are tiny and crammed together. If you’re more than 3 people it can get a little uncomfortable and when it’s busy, it gets very loud. My disappointment came with my side dish. I ordered Mexican rice and it was very under cooked to the point were it was still crunchy. The service here is great. I would go again to try out the rest of the menu, but I’ll be avoiding the rice.
After coming here a few times, I’ve come to really like this place. Trying a few things on the menu, I found the al pastor tacos a bit disappointing. The pork was a bit dry and the pineapple that comes on them is just one variably sized chunk meaning you only get one or two bites with pineapple. But the chicken tacos were fantastic.The sauces that come with the tacos were great as well. My margarita was good, but I’m not sure it was 10 dollars good. The place itself has sort of a rustic hole in the wall feel which is cool, but it’s also quite small and fills up at busy hours. The service was fantastic and friendly though and they’ll always try to accommodate customers as much as possible.
Terrible customer service! The server mistook our order — we received chicken instead of pulled pork for the burrito bowl and when we pointed this out she was adamant that this was our mistake in ordering, despite another customer behind us verifying that we had indeed said pulled pork. There was no apology and not even an offer to change the meat (it would have just been a simple swap). When we tried to discuss this with the server she was extremely unprofessional, saying that she is ‘just a server so don’t be pissed off’. Furthermore, when we asked to speak with her manager/owner she said she did not know their name or contact information. Other staff were not very helpful either. What a shame, since the place initially seemed promising with a good location. The food was average– okay, but not worth going out of the way for.
