Good food occasionally. Watch out for the sneaky attempts to increase your bill amount by offering you onions to your potatoes for example. It’s offered but never mentioned that they will add a charge for it. It’s a very sneaky form of selling and I don’t appreciate it.
I had been try one desh and it was tasty and delicious
Three strikes. I’ve given this place three chances, rideau location. First visit – there was a hair in my smoothie. I didn’t make a big deal, it happens and they brought me a new one.Second visit, the wait to get my food was so horrendous that the manager had to take 15% off all of our meals. So, after the second incident i decided to no longer eat there and this was about four years ago.A friend of mine suggested we eat there for brunch about a week ago and i was hesitant but figured id give it one more shot since it had been years since i last ate there. Well not to my surprise, it was a terrible experience. When ordering my crepes with fruit the waiter asked me what kind of sauce, chocolate or vanilla so i said chocolate. When my bill came i was surprised to see a charge of almost four dollars for the table spoon of nutella i received in which the waiter never explained that it came at an extra cost. To make matters worse, my friend had a hair in her fruit. We called the manager over and he completely refused to take any responsibility for this so we simply asked if new fruit could be served. He gave us an attitude about our request and when the waiter brought the new fruit it was simply one slice of cantaloupe and pineapple.I will never go back to this location.
Sandwich Board. Saturday 19Jan 2013 saw the sandwich board placed out front of Cora’s advertising soup and sandwich for $7.99 . Waited 10 minutes after being seated to finally have a waitress tell me the special advertised on the sandwich board out front that people had to walk around was good only on weekdays. Sure enough the fine print read same. The fine print at the extreme bottom was covered with snow . Misleading, deceptive and I won’t be back. If the sign is an example of their ethics I wonder what they are doing with the food.
ByWard Market. I went 3 times at this location. 1st time it took 1 hour to get what I had ordered, and when we finally got it the food was cold! The second time the service was a little better, and the waiter was great but the food was cold. The third time was horrible, 30 minutes after we ordered the waiter came to tell us that there was a problem with the system and he lost our order. I wouldn’t recommand to eat at this specific location. The service, wait time and food overall is unsatisfactory.
Way overpriced for what it is. Food often comes out cold.
Cora’s can derelict my balls.
