Origin Trade is a small cafe and wine bar that has a small room in the back for groups, along with a few beautiful leather chairs and bar seating that makes it a great spot for sipping a coffee solo, a date or small club meeting. The modern, industrial decor of Origin is stylishly done. I had a fantastic time at this really cool, vibrant caf! Had the Market Salad and the Sandbanks Sauvignon blanc. The salad was super fresh and full of flavour (arugula, quinoa, tomatoes, cucumber, pickled cabbage and roast chicken). The sauvignon blanc was dry, crisp and tasty…a nice treat on a sunny, finally warm day.The place was full of people for lunch, really cool vibe. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. Service was pretty quick too, but I didn’t feel rushed at all. It was cool to see customers thanking the staff for their meals as they were leaving. A very friendly atmosphere. I wish there were more places like this around Ottawa! Nice to have fresh, healthy options! Also great to walk into a coffee shop that serves wine and beer. SCORE!On top of all of this, Origin Trade is decorated beautifully. I’ll definitely be heading back! A+++ styledomination.com
