Petite suggestion… Si vous y aller, essayer le nachos. Dfinitivement le meilleur!

Great location, amazing music! We were here with friends last Saturday night for some drinks & got their wonton nachos for an appetizer. Pricey for the amount you get but they were seriously delicious and well balanced with toppings. Really good bourbon sours. Music, again, was definitely my kind of place! R&B/hip hop from late 90’s/00’s.Busy spot, good service, sat by the fireplace with real fire which was so nice after a night of walking around in the cold

Now this is a place that cares first and foremost about its food. In an area which is devoid of places that feel authentic, The Brig stands out as a safe haven in a sea of same-y Irish-themed pubs. Where food is typically an afterthought in these sorts of establishments, there is a level of effort taken here while remaining unpretentious. It’s elevated pub food that remains grounded and that’s such a welcome sight for anyone who struggles to find that happy middle ground between comfort food and fine dining. With a great back courtyard patio and attentive staff, it’s a no brainer for those who are craving pub grub but are weary of paying Byward Market prices for mediocre, unoriginal food.An absolute must for those looking for a good option in the Market.

The Brig is another one of those places where the food is a little too overpriced for what you get (especially since they changed their menu). I’ve also had extremely slow service every time I’ve gone (at least 5 times). It’s a fun place to hang out in the evenings, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

The Armada Lounge is perfect!. I organized a birthday party for a friend on Saturday night at the Armada lounge for 20 people. The Armada lounge is a private room with a private bar, hidden just above the Brig. It exceeded all of our expectations – this is a beautiful and classy room, with a romantic and cozy atmosphere. The walls are bricked, there is a fireplace, with soft mood lighting, and there is a big balcony that is overlooking the inside courtyard of the restaurant so it is very open and great on a warm evening. I had a very good and courteous service, both while booking and confirming the reservation details, and during the event itself. No deposit was required, and while I did book a month in advance, I had no issue booking it for the prime slot on Saturday night. The private bar allowed for great cocktails and mingling before dinner. The entire Brig menu was available for our sit-down dinner – the menu is very reasonably priced and food selection is good and tastes nice, with interesting choices and good portions. We all had a fun party, a good experience and wonderful service. Definitely a hidden gem in the market, and will book it again for a private party.

Eatery by day, pub by night. Don’t expect any sort of pub food during dinner or lunch. Their meals are fantastic! Bar scene mostly evenings and weekends… Known for their selection of music. I’d definitely recommend it.

Great place to come for lunch and dinner. Food is excellent and quality is consistent. Service is great and the servers are knowledgable on both food and drink menus. Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommended for business meetings, corporate parties or to bring a date.
