Good concept, horrible service. Maybe it was just the day I came on, but the first gentleman who served us was straight up rude to us and gave us attitude when we were asking simple questions about how the games and such worked. Then we waited almost an hour to be approached again, waited half an hour to get our bill which I then had to go up and ask for, and the person who brought us the machine to pay our bill again gave us attitude when we asked about something on our bill. I enjoyed the games but I doubt I’ll be coming back because of the service.
As a board game cafe, the Loft is nice, but I think I prefer Monopolatte – it’s a lot smaller, but it’s also cozier and the staff are much more enthusiastic there than here. The grilled cheese here is absolutely fantastic – but the desserts are mediocre (and be forewarned, the food is pricey for what it is).
The Loft Board Game Lounge offers two floors of board games that you can play with friends for a small $5 fee. The Loft has very helpful staff that will explain how to play the games, and you can order local beers, coffees or pizzas to enjoy while you try out a new game. stephaniewhitetravels.com
Best alternative to a night out at the bars! When you’re looking for a healthy social experience and a good night out without blowing your budget, I have to recommend The Loft!! It’s easy to get to by bus and has the best games selection i’ve ever seen. Play some hungry hungry hippos and have a great night!
Great location and game selection but the beer and food menus aren’t strong. The last time I went there were only 2 beers on tap but the list has since grown. Still, a very fun place to play new games with knowledgeable staff to guide you, just not highly recommended as a restaurant or bar.
Great ambiance ans environment! Came here with some girl friends and has a blast! We ordered some food and overall, it was tasty! Not the best place to come for top notch food, but a great place to have a few drinks and have a good time with some laughs.
This is a unique place to go and hang out with friends. I’ve been twice and each time has been really fun. The lattes are very good, and the snacks I’ve had were tasty and filling. Not a ton of food selection
