I sometimes go here on my lunch break at work and I really enjoy it. I only really order 2 things, the Yam Fries, which are tempura battered yams that come with a chipotle dip. They are so so good, really addictive. And I also get the sushi from time to time and its not bad, typical bento box sushi. They have a mall discount if you work in the mall which I appreciate, the wait can be a little long but I don’t mind because the fries are always perfect!
Disappointing. I had the Chicken Teriyaki with Udon today. The meat was pre-cooked, the cook was coughing in front of the food, the chicken does not taste like chicken AND I am pretty sure there is MSG in the food (it is very salty.) I now understand why there was no one in line at this place at 11:30am! I will never go back again.
Quality is highly decreasing!. Back in October-November, almost every day there was a line up of people waiting for their teriyaki meals; the portions were generous and the food was fresh. Since then, they have replaced the cook at the grill and the portions are minimal and the meat and vegetables are always pre-cooked. Not surprisingly, I don’t see anybody ordering teriyaki meals anymore.
Salt-lick. Had the udon soup with chicken and salmon sushi. The broth had a nice flavour, however, the amount of sodium made the soup difficult to eat. I drank about 2 litres of water in the hours that followed. The sushi was decent for pre-made sushi.
Meat was precooked. Veggies were undercooked and broccoli was raw. Sauce was bland.
