Nice atmosphere and great wine list could not make up for questionable service. Although seated at the bar, was never given cutlery and napkins to enjoy the food, and later was served cake on a serviette…! Live jazz would have been better if it was either louder or a better layout to see the artist. Would not repeat.
Wine and beer selection: Very good.Charcuterie board: Underwhelming.Atmosphere: Nice. Its quite cute.Service: Bad. Our server was slow, inaccurate, and snarky. If I was to return and she was assigned our table, I would definitely leave. Hopefully she is the exception. She was slow to take our first order and then brought us the wrong thing (3 dozen oysters rather than 1 dozen oysters). That in itself is fine (sometimes a server mishears you), but acting annoyed, not apologizing, and even inferring that we were partly to blame is unacceptable. Further, we asked for bread for the charcuterie board, and when it had not come for over 20 minutes I politely asked again. At that point she took a tone with me told me that she was very busy because its Friday night and so its to be expected. Another 15 minutes go by and no bread. No one has a drink at this point, our friends are finished their food, and we are still waiting for bread so that we can eat our meats and cheeses. We finally ask a different server and it arrives immediately. Our server never came by to take an order for second beverages, nor apologized for her absence, the incorrect order, or the incorrect bill she gave us. She did, however, find time to tell me again that she was busy and we should expect to wait. If this is the standard of service there, then I dont think shell have to worry about busy Friday nights for long.
Went last night to hear the live jazz music and had some great sea food the wine was great.
Luv this place. I love the warm atmosphere in this cozy bistro and the friendly staff. I go here several times and once I had four different staff ask if I need anything. Great wine and beer selection and the food is good, menu respectably varied.
Visited on a Friday night while in the area from Gatineau. Our waitress explained how to order our drinks at the bar, English pub style. Wine and beer lists are very comprehensive! We each ended up ordering flights of different kinds of wine to complement our meals. We each got a smoked chicken poutine, which contains a generous portion of chicken, crispy fries, a good sauce and balsamic drizzle on top. Very nice. I ordered seafood, and my fianc had the lamb. Flavour of both dishes was very good, but the star of Vineyards is really the wine.
Their $12 French fries are one of the best dinner deals in the market.
Jambalaya is simply amazing with the Californian wine flight!
