I’m definitely planning to make Vineyards a regular stop for me. Fridays and Saturdays the oysters are only $1/shuck. The oysters are decent, not as good as Whalesbone, but for a buck a shuck I really can’t complain. They have this amazing fried camembert with blueberry that is just to die for, and a fried goat cheese salad that is amazing as well. Get the wine flights too, it’s an amazing deal – for ~$15 you can try 3 different wines. You can also do the same thing with beer flights (6 different beers). I’d love to go back for jazz night, unfortunately there was no live music when I went.
Fairly unappealing as someone who doesn’t enjoy wine, and without this selling point the restaurant doesn’t stand out very much. The tortellini in gorgonzola cream sauce was good and they provided a surprising amount of chicken, though I found myself more drawn to the fresh baguette with well-seasoned dipping oil that accompanied my meal. To my surprise the steak was cooked nicely with the fourteen dollar fries despite the strange name. What really turned me off however was the entire bench of my booth jolting every time the customers behind me got up or moved around, which didn’t seem like a huge issue at first but became increasingly annoying as I ate; perhaps it was naive of me to think that a pricier establishment would have yielded a finer dining experience.
Great selection of wine, but that’s about it. The food menu is small and very underwhelming. I got the steak and fries which was your average frozen food reheated. Others got salads and pasta dishes but they were way overpriced for what arrived at the table.
