I think A&W would have been better. The Caesar salad dressing was from a bottle. The meatball panini was mushy and low on flavour. And the pizza was tasteless and the crust was rubbery.
I came across Boccone Trattoria Veloce in Terminal 1 at the Airport. The Pollo pizza slice caught my eye right away! It was a huge slice of pizza for $7, they warmed it in their wood-fired oven for 5 minutes, and it was served hot. The Pizza tasted incredibly delicious, and i could barely finish my slice! The main drawback was the service – most of the staff was at the back counting inventory/talking to each other and/or preparing food. I had to wait patiently to get served.I would not normally complain, however this is an airport where people are often rushing to their gates, and don’t have idle time to wait for good service.
Great little restaurant in the airport. My mom and I had lunch here today and really enjoyed ourselves. The only complaint I had was that we didn’t have the best service. Our waitress didn’t make the experience one to remember, and didn’t ask how our meal was or check on our drinks. Other than the service the experience was an enjoyable one and the food was delicious. I had the turkey panini and the Rosie-Tini, and she had the 3 cheese pizza with prosciutto.
Heading out of town on Sunday evening, and I had time for dinner, so I decided to give Boccone a try. After a quick scan of the menu I chose the Tilapia. It was a seared filet, sitting atop roasted red potatoes, diced tomatoes, capers, and salsa verde. It was full of flavour, and the potatoes had a nice crisp on the outside. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I took more time to eat it. As it was, I got to my gate just as my section was boarding.
I had the recommended pizza dish. Can’t remember what it was called now. It was pretty delicious but not easy to eat. There wasn’t a lot there I would try other than the pizza. Service was decent and beer was alright.
Terrible service. The older brunette lady with the hoarse smokers voice (Ana) tries to come off friendly, but is brutally rude. Food however is really good.
I had an early flight to Halifax this morning and had breakfast at Boccone Trattoria Veloce, my go-to restaurant at the airport, before my flight.I ordered bacon and eggs along with a large milk. It was good. teenaintoronto.com
