Gotta love the fact this place is just classic. From the decor, to the servers, to…well…the offerings. Got all the staples on the menu but I’m sorry, it’s just dramatically overpriced. I can get steak far above this level at the likes of Jacob’s and Barberian’s for essentially the same price. Servers were nice and attentive but this was not worth the drive to the airport
Excellent steaks, ribs, and salads. Service is outstanding. This is one of the finest old school steakhouses around and there aren’t many anymore.
Simply put – bad food, worse service. Gone down the hill! Zorro’s you ruined an otherwise memorable night with your bad food and even worse service. I never write reviews but trying to spare others of the mistake I made of taking my family to an establishment where the management doesn’t seem to care about you or giving you a great dining experience – however will take your money. Simply put – you couldn’t pay me to go back.
Worst Steakhouse in the GTA. By all means, avoid this place and save your money for a place that deserves your business. By far the worst dining experience I’ve had in years. Low-grade steak (overcooked as well, which for a steakhouse really is embarrassing. Ordered a medium rare and received a medium well), chewy seafood and watered down vodka martini’s. Manager was rude, insulting and low glass. Avoid!18 Sep, 2014Just HORRIBLE! Avoid, avoid, avoid!. This may very well have been the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. We have been going to Zorro’s for at least a decade but had not been in a couple years when we decided to go for a special family dinner. What a mistake! This establishment has gone downhill since we’ve been there last – although their prices if anything have increased! From the very dated decor that smelt a bit musty to the quality of food – our steaks being chewy, dry and with zero presentation to the very topper – the rude and unpleasant manager who tried to not only rush us but other diners it appeared through their dinners. And they were only about 5 tables full at 8:oopm on a weekend night! The kicker of it all was when I heard him YELLING at a table near us – because they were telling him their food was not cooked to the temperature (medium rare) that they asked. I have never heard a manager yell at customers like this before – it was absolutely horrible to witness. Not only did he shame them (simply for asking for their steak to be done they way they wanted) but also caused us to have such an unpleasant environment around us. I will never return. The food was horrendous – but the staff/manager was the absolute worst of it all! Zorro’s you are a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
Completely Ridiculous!. I went to Zorros last night for dinner with my family, we were a table of 6 and we had the most ridiculous experience ever. We went because we had gift certificates that thankfully added up to about $400. Our bill was about $360, it honestly felt like a dream – we felt like we were in a prank! The service was weird. We felt like we were at a banquet hall being served. Plates were dropped in front of us, water was spilt every 5 minutes (since the waiter constantly filled them up), the servers were not personable and we said it felt like we were being served by robots. The price was extremely ridiculous, what did I pay for?! This place shouldn’t even be running. Customer service was terrible, food was terrible, the only thing we liked about last night was the HUMOUR we had, we were laughing at the weirdness of the entire experience. I will NEVER go back and will not let anyone go there before telling them my experience.
A big disappointment. It was a night to celebrate my birthday in a fancy and memorable way. However, there was not even a single thing, except for the rustic interior, which was unique. The salad was cut in big chunks, with no presentation and overloaded with dressing. It looked more fitted for your pet rabbit at home. The garlic bread, olives and pickles they served were a weird combination. They offered separate butter for the garlic bread which was already dripping with oil and the olives were hard to eat on their own, especially without any spoons given for serving. We tried the platter for two, which was again a disappointment. Again, there was no presentation – it looked like they randomly threw some stuff together. The seafood was overcooked, while the ribs were unfavorable and undercooked. They threw huge chunks of broccoli and chewy carrots together. Finally there were too many waiters than needed. They seemed to cause more chaos than help. They were sarcastic and at times it felt like they wanted us out of the restaurant. I would not return or recommend this restaurant to others.
