If you asked me a few months ago, I would have said I love Hama. Now it’s in my opinion; gone to the crapper. Myself and my Fiance go in and we order, in this time 3 other tables of people are filled and they get their huge sushi platters, we had only had everything but the sushi. An hour of waiting and in-between we’d asked and been told it’s coming, we call over a server and ask about our sushi – they didn’t know we hadn’t gotten our order after we had asked twice! Then were told to wait again if we want it and by that point were so upset we don’t even want the sushi cause we didn’t feel like waiting longer – and they had the Audacity to charge us full price still! Then with the stamps; Everytime I have paid with debit or visa I was given a stamp, now it became cash payments only. I’m so overly upset, i will not be coming back. Horrible service and care.
Decided to go there for lunch ! 13$/person and for that price it was quite nice. It’s an AYCE place so from all the sushi AYCE places I’ve been to this one is decent. All the food was fresh , made to order . For once at an AYCE place we didn’t have the sushi flying out of the kitchen which was a nice change. The kitchen was open concept and it was nice to see what’s going on vs it being hidden somewhere. Food was pretty good , the sushi pieces were small which again to me was a good thing , that way you can try more . The sushi rice was nice better than average AYCE place. Service was good and quite quick , food took a bit longer but we didn’t mind waiting. Atmosphere inside is nice and modern . I actually quite liked this restaurant and want to go back to try their dinner menu. One dish I didn’t enjoy too much was the kani salad, it had little crab and no fish roe and really it could be improved with that. Other than that we enjoyed everything we ordered.
Worst sushi ever. We came in here not expecting to pay $23/person! The food is awful. I can only hope I don’t get food poisoning from the spicy tuna roll. The fish isn’t fresh. Everything has a weird sweet taste to it. None of the maki rolls were good. Possibly the worst sushi I have ever eaten. The remainder of the menu is no better. They couldn’t even save themselves with udon noodles. Mushy as baby food. Shocked this place is still open. It was all we could do not to walk out without paying the bill. Disgusting.
Very nice place. We had lunch for 6 people, enjoyed food very much. Sushi and rolls were very fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant to all who loves japanese food. Natalie.
