Awesome place. We hit it on our late night sojourn. Exceptional minestrone soup. The pizza primavera was cooked to perfection and was delightful to the taste buds. The server took exceptional care of the guests. Will definitely go again for some excellent dinner memories
This is probably the best Italian food in the area. Considering that it is a mid range eatery, they do make better food then some upscale Italian restaurants. Everything is always fresh and really big portions. Well priced, have nice patio, great service. They get very busy in the evenings. The only disappointment last visit was tiramisu. 2 years ago they had the best tiramisu, last week it was completely different, like you buy in the store. They should get the old recipe back.
My family to Marcellos for lunch today. After a 45 minute wait, we were finally seated. Service was slow and we had to ask for wait staff to take our order. There was hardly enough bread for the table and we were not offered any more. It took a long time for our appetizers to arrive.The food was average at best. We started with bruschetta which wasn’t great. We had two pasta dishes which were average. I had a pizza which was not fantastic. We had a panini which was not good at all. At no time during the meal did any wait staff ask how it was or if we wanted anything else. I had to call someone to refill my Diet Coke at which time I was told that refills are not free. I told her that I did not mind paying for another glass.Overall, it was not an enjoyable lunch. It was my first and last time there.
Our food was delicious (pizza and calamari), but the service we received was not the best. Going on a Friday night I knew that no reservations could be made, so the hostess was taking names and numbers as you walked in. However, people that came in after us, and of the same size party, were seated before us and which completely defeated the purpose of taking that names of customers as the arrived.
Not bad. Real authentic Italian food. However our service wasn’t the best. Our server was exceptionally sexists. Would not talk to me, not look at me and especially would not give any form of eye contact. He ignored me when I talked and placed his whole attention on my friend who was the same sex as him. I was highly upset when we were wrapping up and he immediately gives the check to the guy with me, it is 2016, treat women with respect!
Yummy pizza with plenty of vegetables to accompany a delicious salmon. The staff was pleasant and efficient and it was pretty busy so that was a nice surprise. Highly recommend it and definitely going back.
This place is great. Along with Desserts Plus, Marcello’s is one of my go-tos for Italian food in Vaughan. Just about everything, from the pizzas to the pastas, the lamb shank special, and even the fresh-baked bread, is good!
