2019/02/10It was Sunday evening and we were driving through Vaughan, looking for a place for dinner, and we spotted Me Va Me. It is a fairly large location, with seating for about 100, and the very high ceiling gives it a very roomy feel. This is one of their express locations, with counter service and pagers, although they brought the food to our table when it was ready. We both ordered one of their Box meals, which includes an entree, salad, and a side. SWMBO picked Chicken Schnitzel with ME Salad and Potato Wedges. The chicken was a large piece of breast, butterflied, pounded thin, breaded, and then deep fried to a golden brown. The breading had a nice crunch, and it coated the chicken enough to keep it from drying out during the frying. The base of the salad was lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onions. This was covered by two small piles of very thinly julienned carrots and beets. Along with their house dressing, which was a light, lemony, creamy vinaigrette, it made for a nice variety of tastes, which was different than a typical house salad.I chose the Falafel Box with the ME Salad and Grilled Veggies. There were six good-sized falafel balls, cooked to a dark brown, almost crispy outside, with a soft, warm green inside. The veggies (red and yellow peppers, green beans, onions and carrots) were grilled with lots of garlic. Large meals, good meals.
