I’m a white male in my my mid 20’s and I have got to say this place is great value. The lunch special cannot be beat and I have never been served so much food for under 6 dollars. Being a picky eater (on the count of the fact I’m a white male) I did not try any of the curry or Indian dishes as those don’t tickle my fancy but the general Tao’s chicken was incredible.
Food tastes good but their service is satisfactory. They delivered the wrong dish and we received a chili sauce that seemed to be used already (it was half full, with food particles inside)
We decided to check out Hakka King using our groupon. By using a group on, we basically saved half the price.Hakka King serves the typical hakka style food. There are tables for you to sit at and the setting isn’t anything special.We decided to order two of their most popular dishes. We tried their chilli chicken and the crispy beef. The chilli chicken was nothing special and not spicy at all. The Crispy beef was burnt but I did taste it because I was starving. I felt a bit sick afterwards from the burnt beef. We had asked the waiter if we could replace it but because we had used a group on, they said no.I hope that things get better here and maybe then I can try it again some time. Yet, I don’t think I would ever return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Visited here because they had a deal on Groupon which is essentially a bill credit. Glad I saw it because if you’re looking for an affordable, flavourful, dinner that reminds you of flavours from your childhood (or your Indian or Asian friend’s childhood) then this is a good place to come by for dishes that have some spice, some bold flavour and some familiarity. It’s right across from Costco so makes a good after shopping trip for a meal. HUGE portions.I recommend the house special chow mein. Any of the manchurian dishes too are great.Atmosphere is very greasy spoon, but the food is on point for when you some want something hearty, yet full of flavour.
A great taste. Hakka King is one of the recent Hakka restarunt that happened. 5/5 is my rating for this amazing restaurant. I asked for no MSG and they were able to make with out it. Everything is just purelt fresh, my food took 10 minutes however it was fresh. Fredriecka however, the food will be out the next 5 mintues, obvious everything is premade. The staff here, the waitresses are very nice, providing us with so land options, green tea, water with ice, no ice, and kind enough to offer specials. Food is amazing, chilli chicken is soft, tender, I love the Bombay chixken , and crispy beef is amazing. Service is amazing they actually smile at you not like other Hakka places. I would recommend this place to anyone, you will love it, thumbs up, and give it a go.
