Too loud – took 1 hour and 15 minutes for pizza. Went to this restaurant as we love to eat out and were excited to try something new in Markham. 1st problem was the acoustical properties in this establishment suck. It’s so loud in there you can’t even hear the specials when being read out to you. 2nd problem is that the service is very slow. It took 1.5 hours to get a pizza. They should really have someone managing the kitchen better. 3rd problem is that there was another table that came after us and they got their pizza’s first. They seemed to know the owner and were taken care of much better than our table. It’s too bad that we had such a bad experience. We eat out multiple times per week and won’t be spending our money there again.
Last night tried this new restaurant in Markham, Trattoria Marca on Main. This restaurant is great!!!! It is on Main St. Markham on the top floor of The Old Town Hall. My friends and I were really surprised by the dcor, the great food and the super service. Our waiter was Raul such a nice person and funny. We had a real great time, everything was absolutely delicious. Two had one of the specials, Quail with wide noodles in a super delicious sauce and two had Pasta with shrimp, mussels and squid. Large portions and not over the top pricing. Anyone who is thinking of trying this place – Do Not Hesitate.Looking forward to trying out the pizza next time.
Loved it. Popped in here for take out and was blown away by what a beautiful restaurant it is. I ordered the mamma Rosetta pizza which consists of, tomato sauce, cheese, prosciutto, arugula, olive oil, sea salt and balsamic reduction, yes balsamic reduction. I’ve never had pizza with balsamic, and was skeptical at first, but wowwww, blown away. The pizza was amazing, one of the best crusts I’ve ever eaten and the balsamic finished it off perfectly. I also grabbed a tiramisu to share with my wife and she loved both as well. One last note, the staff here were excellent. The other Italian restaurant down the street can learn from these guys at Marca, great service gets asses in the seats, especially new customers. I was glad to see the place packed and look forward to dining in soon.
