Very pathetic service,I had ordered for a take out for veg Manchurian and Hakka noodles, when I came to pick up the order they had packed veg Manchurian tofu and the manager explained me that u should have ordered Manchurian balls instead of tofu.i told him that how did they assume I ordered for Manchurian tofu they should have asked me what I needed to order.i was a regular customer of tangerine but would never ever visit. They should know how to talk to customers. The manager was very rude and did not have a sense how to handle customers.he told me that he is running this businesses since 30 years or something,I don’t understand din he learn the manners to talk in those 30 years.
We were here for dinner last night and had a very average experience with food. This is quite a popular restaurant and unfortunately we didn’t taste anything that made us go wow.For appetisers – we had French Fries, Crispy Ginger Beef, Chicken steamed dumplings and Crispy Ginger Panneer. The beef was definitely crispy but with the amount of sauce and crumb mix, we didn’t taste the beef at all. The same sauce was used for the Paneer dish, as well, but the Paneer was ok. The chicken dumplings were very dry inside. The French fries seemed to have been dipped in white flour before the deep fry – but it was ok.For dinner – we had Veg Fried Rice and Veg Hakka Noodles with Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce. The fried rice was good, however, the noodles was not great. It could have had a couple of more mins to cook. The chicken in the sauce was lumpy and a little hard.
Food is dope. I’ve always liked Tangerine and their prices but I can admit that some of their dishes are similar. Still I’m happy with the Markham location… The Scarborough location, they have a $10 and below cash only thing… I didn’t see the sign and ordered a lunch combo… Came up to $9.82 and even though the manager let me pay debit, he still made me feel like I had rob him of something… I never went back since I have many options for lunch…
They make the best Spicy prawns and house fried rice! Not my fave place for chili chicken – but this location is clean and friendly service/mgmt.
Place is good because it’s CHEAP. The lunch menu is a huge win. In terms of food quality, it’s nothing special. Just drenched, starchy and fried. There is an ever better restaurant across the street. I won’t give names, but their chilli chicken is better.
The worse Hakka Chinese food ever. Everything tastes the same – of cornstarch. Staff is worse than the food, don’t know how they stay in business. Terrible, terrible!!!
A Taste Above All the Rest. Great place to eat Hakka Food. The staff mentioned that the Markham location is now expanding in summer time to 120 seater. WOW !!! Going to celebrate my friends birthday there. so many choice for Lunch Specials under $8.00.Going back again soon.
