Wanlee Loy is a great choice for a single diner like myself.22 different choice of 1 plate dish for $6.99 with a pop, The selection is good for both spicy and non spicy lovers even for a Hakka restaurant, And of course I ordered mine extra spicy.Food was cooked to order and my lunch was just hot hot and spicy hot, Great portion and friendly service.Decor a little dated but feels homey.
Falling Off !. The Food at Wanglee is getting a Tad Bland To be honest and i have spent alot of money there ,Prices are good for what you get .recommend deep fried shrimp ,chicken balls, wing
Anni. I have tried lots of Hakka chinese retaurants like Tangerine and Fredericks but Wan Lee is in a class by it selfTheir Chilli chicken and fried rice is fantastic as well as the Schezuan shrimpBig helpings low price awesome tasteDefinately a place to go
Hole in wall serves up great food. One of the many tiny Scarborough restaurants not known for atmosphere or decor, but serving up excellent Chinese food. The hot & sour soup and beef fried noodles were good/average. But the dry beef chili, pan fried fish pieces with chili, and pan fried dry shrimps with chili were fantastic – spicy and salty, perfect to wash down with a Tsing Tao or Heineken. Most of the dishes are spicy. The bill was $73 plus tip for 4 adults with enough left over for dinner tomorrow. Only down side was the thin plastic table cloth was annoying, kept bunching up, like eating on a table covered in a garbage bag. But recommended for the food.
A nice sit down restaurant. Very nice decor and inviting. Service was very good. Food taste good. We had pancit, lechon kawali, sinangag, longsilog. Better of the 4 was the pancit. Very tasty and not dry at all. Small menu but they deliver good stuff. Presentation is great. Taste-8,Ambiance-8,Service-9. You can leave satisfied mores than disappointed. I will go back and they have my business.
Impressed!. Being raised on filipino food myself, I’ve gotten to really hate it due to its nature of being traditionally oily and heavy whether it be homemade, take out or at a restaurant. However, this restaurant blew me away! The portions are medium, not oily as I always expect from Filipino restaurants and the flavours are nothing short of AMAZING (traditional in my books, but with a MUCH better kick because of their marinades). Not to mention the plating was really neat and well portioned too. The design is what you would expect from at least a 4/5 star restaurant in which led me to assume that the menu will be overpriced, but it really wasn’t. A typical Filipino restaurant menu ranges from a minimum $10-$15, but not this place. The quality of the food and flavours served on the dishes we ordered made the $7-$10 prices absolutely no sense (in a good way!).Service was fast, place is very organized and clean, silverware and dishes are branded, staff is friendly … I was beyond impressed that I ate dinner there and came back the next morning for breakfast!
Very. Good food , and really good prices. Also 10% off when you pay with cash on orders over 20$.
