I love this place! I was introduced to Hakka Magic about a year and a half ago by a colleague, and we made it our regular bi-weekly spot to meet up for lunch. I’ve also gone there a few times for dinner… So, I think I’ve been there about 40-50 times so far.I get the EXACT same order every time, which is a Manchurian chicken (w/ gravy and I add the red chili sauce) and hot and sour soup. Why the same order? Well, why mess with a great thing? They have the BEST hot and sour soup in Mississauga. Sometimes when I’m driving nearby, I’ll just stop in to take an order to go. Makes my mouth water to even think about it… … And that decided it, I’m heading out to get some tonight! The owner is such a nice guy, and he’ll remember your name if you’ve come in more than handful times, and that level of interaction in restaurants is unfortunately rare nowadays.I’ve tried 10 other hakka places in Mississauga/Toronto (and there is now a new one to try down the road), but I’m a repeat customer at only 2 of them. Hakka Magic is number 1, and there is another one by the airport I will go to on Monday’s when HM is closed and I’m craving hakka.
Ordered hot and sour soup and chicken noodles. Soup they put chewy nasty tasting fat pieces instead of chkn and noodles were cold, under cooked chicken that tasted like they just threw it boiling water. Nasty place to eat woudnt recommend it to any one . left more then most of the food , went to counter to complain the chinese guy at desk said since u have tasted the noodles we can only give u 1$ discount on bill. I said no thank u ill pay u full but never return. Feeling disgusted an hour after eating here. $ 1.69 junior chiken is better option ; dont go here.
Brought here by a friend. Service was quick and friendly. Shared several dishes and was very pleased. Portions were generous and very flavourful. They gladly packed up leftovers to take home. Overall experience was great. Would gladly recommend and I am ready to return again real soon.
Love. Great food everytime and good service. never had any problems.
No finer Hakka can be had in Mississauga. Clean, quick, well priced. I don’t think the owner has once ever failed to come out of the kitchen and greet me at my table. One of the best lunches in and around the 10 dollar marker one can have in Mississauga.
Bad. The food here was plain bad. The rice was very dry and the chicken dishes ordered were not good. The chicken with broccoli just tasted like it was tossed in hoisin sauce and served to us. Nasty. Don’t go here is my recommendation.
Food nothing spectacular. But it is very simple, decent, and yes low price. Fried rice was a little dry, but well seasoned. Staff clearly know their regulars and their favorites. Would try again for sure.
