Some Kind Of A Greek. E: The food was of average quantity and reportedly Greek, but how much this stuff is actually from that Mediterranean country and how much is a quasi-Greek Canadian approximation is up for debate. My Gyros Pita was tasty, albeit light on content. It didnt look overly fat, which is a good thing. The sandwich was $6. The (so-called) tzatziki sauce was bland. Unfortunately, one wouldnt expect anything else.Other food items on the menu are chicken and lamb souvlaki (skewer) pita or plate meals, Hercules Hamburger and a variety of salads. The souvlaki is available as a one-skewer or two-skewer option. Combos could include salad, potato or French Fries. Someone reported two of the Fries to be frozen to the core. The combo or meal prices do not seem like a good value.-A: Like the majority of Mr. Greeks today this location is an Express one, which is a take-out and smaller dine-in setting. Having said that, the location probably seats fifty people and offers ten tables including one accommodating ten people.The blues and whites are everywhere and, of course, Greek music blares out of the speakers.-T: There were three people there at noon. Fifteen minutes later there were twenty five people queuing up to place orders. The line began to elongate until it wound around the tables. The self-service was not moving quickly enough and the cashier began to go back and forth between his station and the food preparation sections. Parking is problematic, but not scarce, There are other restaurants and many retailers in the Heartland Plaza.-S: Being an Express location there is no waitstaff. It is a self-serve location. Plastic cutlery and garnishes are to the right and available for customers to pick up.The restaurant is clean.
Whomever wrote that they hated this restaurant is nuts. I had been going here for three years and ive never had a bad meal there. I had eaten here almost every week for three years, they were consistent every time and beleive me, I am super picky with food. The service canbe a little slow but thats because they usuallydont have that much staff working at any one time. I loved thier chicken gyros and everything i had ever eaten there was beyond satisfying. Its a nice place with very good food.
The food is bland and overpriced, the meat is over cooked and dry, the portions are mediocre, and the service is non existent. Definitely disappointing. Will not be back!
Very dissappointing. The (I assume) Manager was awful. Rude and arrogant. Should not be in customer service. Poor food, poor quality, very poor service. I love Greek food and this was such a disappointment. Wasn’t even busy, yet preparation was so slow. There was nothing good to say about the food when it arrived. Kitchen area was not clean. The result is an exceptionally poor experience, which will not be repeated. Except by verbal reviews. Definitely not recommended.
Been there three times and it’s three strikes… You’re out!!!Over cooked souvlaki and mediocre service. Damned shame as the location is nothing less than perfect.
Worst restaurant ever. Avoid at all costs. I enjoy Mr.Greek in general but this location is run terribly. Low quality food and terrible service.
I have been to Mr. Greek many times…the service is great, fast and friendly. The food is amazing! Very tasty and the portions are really generous! You can’t go wrong here!
