Had a craving to eat something for dinner and contemplating the middle eastern (right next door) or Pho and its been a while since we had Viet food, so we walked next door and glad we did because the food was so good. The smells coming from the outside were coming from here. I ordered my usual vermicelli with pork and fried spring rolls. The pork was grilled and so flavourful, so happy we stumbled across this restaurant and will be coming back for more the next time were in the area.
They lost 15 frequent customers because of napkins… My family- immediate & extended has been frequenting this restaurant for the past 4.5 years. Last night the lady owner interrupted us while eating to tell us we were using too many napkins, showed us how to only pull a few from the napkin box & asked us to use less. We have a toddler and while we had one or 2 spills on the table we cleaned it up ourselves. This is my first review on any restaurant because we arent the type to complain & never really had the need to. The good part is we will now stop patronizing a restaurant who values its napkins more than its customers, our average bill is $45 vs $1 for a box of napkins? Im never experienced such low , rude behavior anywhere. We will never return, spread the word about this and most importantly spend our $ elsewhere. I hope the money they are saving on napkins multiplies & compensates for losing 15 frequent customers forever, but that wont happen so in the end they will pay the price for this incident & thats enough peace of mind for us 🙂
