FOOD:I had come here on a Saturday evening at 6:30 pm as I had made reservations beforehand. I did like that upon arriving, I was given the chance to have AYCE, or A La Carte, which was something I don’t see often at AYCE establishments. When I noticed the iPad ordering system, I was happy to note all of the options that were available. I found though that compared to other AYCE, there were not as many options as I would have thought there would have been. I chose a multitude of items to start, which included appetizers such as the Cheese Crab Wonton, Tempura, and Calamari. In terms of the rolls, I had settled on the Green Dragon Roll, Spicy Crispy Roll, and the Dynamite Roll, among a few others. I also had such items as Pad Thai and Japanese Fried Rice. The presentation of the food items was actually quite impressive as they had large dcor items such as wooden boats, among other decorative pieces, to use for food placement. I found that a lot of effort was put into the food presentation, which was a great thing to see. In terms of the taste, the items did arrive hot (temperature-wise), and they did taste fresh and appetizing, which was something that I was happy about. I did find though that some of the items I had ordered didn’t arrive at all, or arrived very late, with me having to ask a few times for them. I did like that this restaurant did offer items that I’ve never seen at other establishments, which made them stand-out from the rest.ATMOPSHERE:This restaurant was situated in the same place as JJ Japanese Thai therefore, everything was similar in terms of the tables, chairs, and other types of dcor. I found that it was quite loud during the time I had visited, as practically every table was full with guests. I had sat at a table that had a booth on one side, and chairs on the other therefore, I was able to sit on the side with the booth which was very comfortable. I did feel though that the tables were much too close together, which made it uncomfortable if I tried to navigate from one side to another. Also, the tables were much too small so when my food dishes arrived, I was often unable to fit everything on the tables. As a result, I had to often put dishes on top of each other until I had eaten everything on them. SERVICE:Once I was seated, I was given the iPad for ordering, which was much easier than using a pen and paper. I did notice that there were many servers hovering around the area, which was great as I was able to find a server quickly if I had a question. Also, the servers were quick in taking away the dishes that I had finished with, and were also quite polite, which made me feel more comfortable. In terms of paying though, I had to wait a while, which was tiring as I was reaching the end of the night and wanted to leave quickly.COST:2 All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Adult Dinner Meals: $31.99 Each ($63.98 Total) + Tax = $72.29WOULD YOU RETURN?In all honesty, I found the pricing to be a bit too high for the items that I had received. Although it was AYCE, I would have hoped it might have been $30.00/person, or under. However, I would give this place another try as the food was pretty good, and the service was good for most of the night.
