Located at Courtney Park and Hueontario this is hands down the Best Thai restaurant in sauga. My recommendations – Thai Chicken Skewers, Tom Yum Soup, Panang Curry, Green Curry and Thai Spicy Noodles. Pad thai was just about average.
Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean. We ordered the pineapple fried rice and the ginger chicken. I expected more from the ginger chicken. You couldn’t taste the ginger unless you ate a big piece of the sliced ginger that was cooked with it. I would recommend asking for the ginger to be minced. Maybe it would taste better. Would go again but would not get the ginger chicken.
After trying a couple of Thai restaurants in Mississauga, we got invited to TF. Started with a Thai style Iced Tea, some Veggie Spring Rolls, a Thai Lemongrass Soup (Tom Yum) and a Mango Salad. I have never tried Iced Tea, Thai style and was quite surprised with the flavour. Sweet Tea, Coconut Milk and perhaps sweetened condensed milk. Delicious. Ask for a little less ice. The mango salad was usual. The mango sweet and sour, mint, cashew nuts and the right amount of dressing. The veggie spring rolls were crisp and well filled with veggies. The dipping sauce way too mild for me but there is nothing that Sriracha cannot fix. The Tom Yum was a bit too mild for us, but the flavour was good. Needed a bit more heat in it. After the appetizers, we ordered a Green Curry with Coconut Rice, Masaman Curry with steamed rice and a Lemongrass Fried Rice. The Green Curry hit the right notes of flavour and heat. The curry smooth and filled with Coconut Milk. The rice could have used a bit more coconut milk while cooking. The Masaman Curry – never had a Thai Curry with potatoes, was good, but the potatoes spoilt the taste for me. The Lemongrass Fried Rice was unique. Always had a Basil Fried Rice, but this was unique. Much much milder flavour and good if you are looking for a change from the usual. The service excellent, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere good. There is construction going outside, so the signs are a bit hard to see outside. Fancy and recommend this place
Very average. Happened to travel to mississauga for work and really craving for some thai food. So i decided to give this place a try after reading the 4 star reviews. First of all, this place is difficult to locate as its in a inconspicuous spot, in addition the parking lot is doing construction which makes a foreigner even harder to access.I was happy and excited to see this place was crowded, it starts off with good signs. The staff was very friendly and attentive. But the food, it was just so bland… i mean look at the picture! I ordered the pad thai with bbq chicken without knowing they serve a half chicken! The meat was very tender and moist but just too much seasoning and the noodle was just dry. I’d say for a $12 lunch, it was just disappointing. Definitely had better thai food.
We recently visited Twin Fish in Etobicoke to try their Thai cuisine. This is their second restaurant by the same name, located at 1255 The Queensway in Etobicoke near Queensway/Kipling, the first being in Mississauga at Hurontario/Courtney Park. We have been to the Courtney Park location numerous times and always find the food excellent and consistantly delicious, and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The Etobicoke location was no disappointment and lives up to the high standard of the original restaurant. The menu has something for everyone (all Thai) but my favourites are the Bankok Street Style Pad Thai or the Mango Chicken and my wife loves the Spicy Red Snapper with Thai Curry Sauce. As a starter you have to try the Calamari or the Thai Spring Rolls…. so good! Though the Etobicoke location is much smaller they have a cozy seating area for eat in but also offer take out. If you are looking for reasonably priced, excellent quality Thai food, don’t pass up the opportunity to try Twin Fish, either location!
Really great ambiance. Though the space may be a bit cramped and there is limited seating the food is spectacular. I recommend the coconut rice and the pad thai. The staff is very welcoming and kind as well.
I am a regular at Twin Fish. I go with my wife about once a month. Usually get take out but sitting in is nice. We usually get the pad Thai with chicken or shrimp. We also get the Thai salad to go with it. I have not had better pad Thai anywhere. The Thai salad has a really fresh taste to it. It has a little bit of kick to it and it is a explosion of flavours. When the salad is done, the remaining sauce usually goes on top of the pad Thai. If you sit down, I recommend the ginger honey tea because they use real chopped ginger and honey. The Vietnamese coffee is also really good. They have a mug with condensed milk and the coffee drips into the mug. No sugar is needed because of the condensed milk. The prices are really good for the amount of food you get.
