Visited this Restaurant on Aug 27th 2016 8 PM. I had high expectations from this place but I am totally disappointed by the service and food. They were rushing us to order as restaurant was crowded, I was like at least give us 5 minutes as menu is big. So I ordered Crispy Soy Fritters (Appetizer) , Udon Noodles and Fruit Punch to Drink. They filled the Glass of water and I asked the server If i can get the piece of lemon for water and she said no we don’t have lemons (I mean for real?). I was expecting them to serve Appetizer first but they got the Noodles first and I asked them what about the Appetizer and they had no clue of that order so the server returns and asked me was it Soy fritters I said yes and I got it after 5 minutes. Soy fritters were crispy but blend no flavors, So i asked for Ketchup so first they didn’t understood what I asked for , So i had to explain do you guys have a Tomato sauce or some dip for the fritters and server said No they don’t have it (How can you eat blend fritters without a dip or at least ketchup. Somehow I was able to finish only half of the food and I decided to leave and never come back to this place. And at the end I realized they didn’t even bring the Fruit Punch which I ordered. If you are looking for flavorful food this is not the place you should be visiting. Rated 2 only coz I was hungry and it solved the purpose and Ambiance was good.
I stumbled upon this place while looking for a vegetarian resturant in the area. The restaurant quite empty when we arrived, only 2 other tables were occupied. We sat and looked at the menu and waited for someone to take out order…and we waited…Our server had decided that he was going to sit down and have something to eat then…my advice to him: Don’t sit down and eat your lunch while you are serving customers. It looks bad and we were waiting forever to even just order. When the food finally arrived, it was just alright. Nothing spectacular…We ordered sui mai, har gow, steamed dumplings, and mixed vegetable soup. We were obviously not expecting things to taste like the regular version with meat, but everything just tasted bland. The decor of the place is dated but clean.I would not bother to return here.
Giving it a perfect 5 because this is a go-to spot for my family (extended and immediate) and for myself. I’ve never eaten at a vegetarian restaurant before this place and I was skeptical at first because I’m a meatatarian. Their dishes have been consistent with quality and taste. Some dishes I suggest are:sao maicrispy taro dumplinghot and sour soupenoki mushroom balls (they’re amazeballs!!!!)tom yum fried rice
Dinner with Colleagues. The service was slow and although they wrote our orders down, they still got it wrong. There was general confusion about what came with our dinner combinations. The sweet & sour soup was delicious, but I didn’t care for the 2 dim sum items that came with the combo. They did give me white rice instead of the purple rice, as I don’t care for it. The bill was a bit expensive but I guess with the cost of the ingredients it was still worth the money.06 Jan, 2015Group Luncheon. The lunch was delicious and so beautifully made and presented. Worth everything penny and will be coming back here again.
Disappointed. I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the good reviews, however I had a terrible experience. The service is bad. My friend and I walked into the restaurant and we were immediately seated. But, we waited 30 minutes until I had to go up to one of the waitress to place in an order. We would ask for water many times and never received any. I had to again go up to the waitress to ask for water. The food was okay. I personally like spicy food and I felt that the food was bland. It needed sriracha sauce or chilli flakes to help flavour the food better. There are better restaurants around the area and the only reason why I wanted to try out this restaurant was because of the high reviews but that was huge let down.
Great place. This was my first vegan experience and it was lovely. I love the interior and the whole atmosphere. It has a very Zen vibe as per the name of the restaurant. They have an extensive amount of teas on display and every Friday they have a tea meditation for 10$. I am definitely booking myself in for that next Friday. They provide great service as well. Now on to the food.. My opinions are biased because I have been a meat and processed foods eater my whole life so vegan food is not normal to me and it was a rather interesting experience. I just wanted to add that I was extremely impressed at how the waitress brought me lemon water right away without me even asking. I always had a theory that every restaurant should do that even if it’s just for presentation purposes. A lemon is healthy and makes it seem more than just a plain old cup of water. I usually always order water with lemon so the fact I didn’t have to was awesome! The soup of the day was corn soup and I was extremely satisfied with that. It came in the cutest bowl ever too may I add. It came with the lunch combo that I ordered for around 11.00 with tax. Moving on I tried faux meat for the first time and it was pretty alright! The teriyaki cutlets actually have a barbecue sauce on them and not teriyaki but it was perfect sauce. The texture really resembled crispy smokey grilled chicken. Then I had nuggets which were pretty much similar to real chicken nuggets (I just wish they had ketchup lol) and then I had salad and purple rice. I did not enjoy the smell or taste of the purple rice (actually the faux meat had a funny smell to it as well) and the salad dressing was awful! Next time I am asking for no dressing or bringing a little container of my own. It tasted like lemon mixed with peroxide lol I would like to come back and try every item on the menu because I am converting to veganism quite soon and I am open to trying more items in hopes to find a favorite dish. I can honestly say I didn’t quite enjoy the food because it’s so new to me and I would rate it all a 4/10 but it’s only because I’m so used to processed foods filled with fat and sugar. Imagine going from McDonalds to eating this, obviously I won’t like it very much. I hope I get used to vegan food! This place is definitely worth a try. Their menu is very extensive and it is one of the only restaurants in Mississauga catered to vegans. The restaurant is quite clean as well.
Even Meat Eaters Will Love This Place!. I have been going to this restaurant for years and I bring anyone and everyone here to try it at least once. Not one person I have known or met does not like it. The food is delicious, freshly prepared and it has great flavor! All the meat eaters I have brought in, ask to come back. Great place!
