Excellent downtown coffee bar. These days, each Ontario town of any size has a nice, relaxed, independent coffee bar, offering the usual fare: lattes, cappucinos, chai teas, etc. As we found ourselves in downtown Midland for a meeting, two weeks ago, we discovered Grounded Coffee on King Street. This coffee shop does not offer a lot of seating places (there is a coffee roaster in the back taking up much of the space), but it does have a few tables and a couple cozy armchairs. The place wss busy, yet the service was excellent. My latte was perfect. Not too much in the way of pastries, however. We didn’t try the wi-fi, but the service is available for free.
