Great calamari!. We got a chance to taste their superb grilled calamari (soft and chewy) and their Margherita Bruschetta. Good size serving and reasonable price.
Jake’s in Burlington is Terrific!. Let me start out by saying that I am not a relative or in any way connected with the ownership of Jake’s Grill and Oyster Bar.I was introduced to Jake’s about ten years ago by a close friend and have been going back at least once a month ever since. It is a terrific restaurant. The owner, Jamie Myers is a most congenial host and runs a great ship. The fact that most of the staff I met there ten years ago are still there speaks volumes about the way Jamie treats his staff … and a happy staff provide great service (which they do). The menu is what you would expect at a first rate roadhouse with the emphasis being on seafood (always fresh and delicious). I have had countless meals there and have never once had a bad dish – in fact, they have all been excellent.Compelled to quibble just a bit, I do find that the white wine is served a tad over-chilled and I would love to see a few more French wines on the carte du vin. Personal prejudices, I admit. Will I be going back to Jake’s in Burlington at least once a month for the next ten years? You bet … the gods willing and Jamie still in charge.Jim Walker
Great Food and Service. We went here based on reviews for my mothers birthday and we were not disappointed. we had oysters to start and they came out very well presented and tasted even better. Ordered pickerel and yellow fin tuna blackened… both were perfectly cooked. for dessert they brought out a birthday dessert of creme brul… all in all a great experience and will go back again soon.
I was truly suprised….I’m never one for restaurants in or on the same property of a hotel. The food was delicious and they really have a wood grill! I’ll be back for sure!
Consistenty Great. We’ve been to Jake’s on several occasions and were extremely happy every visit. The mussels in combo wine/tomato sauce are fantastic as is the bread which accompanies them. We’ve had the calamari, the fish and chips, other fish specials, the ribs, the burger and all are delicious.
Fab food!. My husband and I ate there last night,we sat on the patio outside…Service was freindly, attentive and helpful..No issues what so ever.We ate our whole meal off the Happy Hour Menu,4pm-6pm.1 Doz oysters, yummy, crab cake, mussels, crab and lobster roll and wonton wrapper filled with crab /cream cheese..Except for the WONTONS,everything was very delicious.well presented and flavourful..The wontons was a bit mushy for us both.2 glasses of wine and 2 Rickards red.All of that and 4 drinks came to $70…. Very good quality and service,We will return very soon as it had been a while since we had been there before…YUMMY for my TUMMY!!
