40th Anniversary catering celebration. Wow!!!What a huge party 21 – and includes 5 kids.Nelson personally delivered in perfect labelled oven ready containers an order of 3 platters for 4 and 2 pasta penne chicken. Fatoosh, pita, rice, hummous and tettziki.Sooo much happiness!!Price fantasticThe Kafta disappeared (my bad – order extra kafta) but food left over repackaged in his aluminum containers for each family – Sunday left overs like going to the Raging Olive twice on 1 dime..Thx NelsonSam & Susan – Fran & Doug 40 years of love.
I loved this place. Only been there once on a Wednesday evening. Server was lovely….. the chef who is most talented and friendly may also have been the owner…… I couldn’t decide what to order so I got the Tandoori chicken with salad entre which was very yummy, didn’t eat it all and was excellent for lunch the next day…. didn’t reheat it and the chicken was even moister than the night before ~ bonus !!! I also had the jerk chicken appetizer and it was a generous portion and tasted OUT of THIS WORLD !!! I don’t live in Burlington, but I wish I did because I would eat here regularly…. and I’m a somewhat picky eater…. My friend loved it too… She ordered something where you got to pick 4 different appetizers…. She enjoyed it to an empty plate…… Their salad dressing was very nice too… I’d give it a 5 out of 5 hands down !
Excellent dinner. Based on the 88% rating, we picked The Raging Olive for dinner with my parents on a Sunday evening in January of 2014. The 88 rating is real. We had a great dinner with no shortage of fair priced food. Their hummus is maybe the best I’ve ever eaten. And their garlic sauce (which you will be ordering extra of) is also very good. You can actually buy this garlic sauce to take home. We ordered the Mixed Grill for 4 people to ensure we tried most of the meats on the menu. They brought the first tray of meats and potatoes and I was impressed. And then our waitress brought the SECOND tray. Wow. We had enough food to feed 6 maybe 7 people. All of the meats were good, but the beef kafta was excellent. The rice was just ok, but the roasted potatoes made up for it – they were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My 4 year old had the Tikka chicken on the a pita and she loved it. Our 10 year old had a grilled shrimp salad and there was no shortage of shrimp (10 or 12 pieces). Overall it was a great meal and priced well for the quality and quantity of food. Amazingly, we needed 3 take out containers to take tomorrow’s lunch and dinner home. We will be back!
Won’t be back. It must have been a really, really off day – won’t be back. Can’t rely on people’s reviews.
The lamb souvlaki and tossed salad was awesome! Rice isn’t the best but it was ok.
The Raging Olive is my new favourite place to eat! The staff and food are great, and the owner always makes his way around to your table. The Ckicken Tikka is an awesome addition to the Mazza and the Specialty Chicken is the best I’ve had. We’ve been there four times with the same opinion everytime.
