Had a craving for fish and chips yesterday and made the mistake of going to the one closest to me at the time. Called ahead and tried to place an order for two orders of three piece fish and chip. The man that took the order over the phone kept repeating my order and getting it wrong. Not a complicated order by any means. He seemed frustrated with me and I didn’t have a good feeling about it but I proceeded to the restaurant.When I arrived to this dingy shop I wasn’t expecting outstanding customer service but I mean you can at least greet the customer. It’s not like they were busy, the place was empty (BIG SHOCK).I could tell he was irritated with me from our phone call (or maybe hes always a jerk) and proceeded to pass me the POS machine to pay. The total was $92 dollars and change. I knew this must be a mistake, so I ask him for help. He proceeds to print a small slip with the break down.I’m trying to be polite as there is a language barrier that must have caused him to hear me incorrectly over the phone. Nope- he made 6 pieces of fish and that’s my total….it’s cheaper then other places he says.Ummm, ok, so I try to salvage the situation, I ask for half of the order. He tosses the POS to me with a $50 bill and slaps my order on the counter and wraps it up (mumbling in his language to his wife/colleague). So now I don’t have enough food for my family but I’m hoping that at least it’s really tasty and worth all the fuss.Unwrap our food and he gave us 3 pieces of overly greasy cold fish and cold fires. No coleslaw, no malt vinegar, no lemon, just a couple little packs of tartar sauce. So, so disappointed and won’t ever be returning. I would avoid at all costs!

The young daughter helping with the food continually played with her hair and then touched the food. Should be reported to the health department.

Great fish and not bad value. Staff are always rude
The BEST fish and chips. Always fresh and huge portions. Not too greasy and the owner knows what he is doing. I remember the original owners years ago and the new owners still do a great job. Only thing I would suggest is that the place needs a remodel cause it looks grubby inside with the dirty carpets and I don’t even want to think of that bathroom that is shared by men and women. The only other thing I would like to say is that it was annoying trying to eat on peace and having the owners kids screaming and throwing balloons or balls or running around . Don’t bring your kids to work and leave them run wild with your customers trying to enjoy their meal. But the fish and chips made me always go back
