2019/06/02We met a friend for lunch in Milton at Grill Daddy. This is a small-ish restaurant with indoor seating for about 30, and most of the tables were occupied while we were there. The three of us were seated community-style at a table that could seat 8. We were pleasantly surprised at the extensive breakfast and brunch menu, with sections for Breakfast, Skillets, Crpes, Benedicts, Special Breakfast, Pancakes, French Toast, Sandwiches, and Sides. SWMBO chose the BLT Sandwich; crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, on lightly toasted rye ($7.75). A classic, nicely done. I picked the Western Omelette, which was a proper Western with onion, green pepper and ham ($12.75). Many restaurants omit the green pepper from theirs. This omelette was BIG, made with 5 large eggs. It was served with some of the best home fries I have had in a while. I suspect these chunks of potato were deep fried instead of cooked on the flattop. The outside of each piece had a nice crispness, and there was very light sprinkling of seasoning, possibly paprika. Prices were good, portions were good, ambiance was good, service was good. This all added up to a very good meal.
