Mmmm Donair. I traveled about 55 minutes to try this. My experience was exquisite.They were so sweet, in fact the server called me sweetheart 3 times.The donair was amazing, crowd pleasing, atherial, authentique, hometown, I have no more words.Called back to congratulate and ask if I could have it packaged to take home on my next visit, to recreate the experience for my wife and me at home. Yes Yes Yes I can not wait to go back.Now I’m hungry
Yuk!. Absolutely disgusting! The sauce is some garlic sugary slop that won’t let go. An extremely greasy and soggy mess for those who don’t care about what they put in their bodies.
Best Donair I have ever had!. I ordered dinner for my family (visiting from Windsor) and I tonight and these were the best Donair’s we had all ever had! The portions were large and the price was very reasonable. The staff was amazing, friendly, and everything was made to order perfectly! I was so impressed with the customer service and quality of food that I had to write this review as soon as we finished eating. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again!
Loved the steak sub, the donair sweet garlic sauce was very interesting as I am not a fan sweet with my meats but after my wonerful experience I appreciate and can understand it’s mass appeal, it left me with a wonderful after taste and it was crammed with lots of meat shavings, the staff was great and I will be back to try the pouting and the pizza looked great! Good stuff, keep up the good work! You get my foody vote.
I came to Halifax Donair for lunch today (18/Jan/13) and I have to say that I was very impressed. There are some negative written reviews, but I’m going to go so far as to say that you should disregard them. I’ve never had an east coast Donair before and this was my first time at the establishment. The sweet garlic sauce was so flavourful, I can see myself craving this is the near future. The staff was also very friendly. The staff was also well aware that they were putting out great food. Everyone that was in there when I was ordering was a repeat customer. On a first visit I would recommend simply ordering the original Donair. Don’t bother putting cheese (extra cost) on it – it’s great as is. A medium Donair will definitely meet most people’s needs for lunch. I don’t think you’ll find an eatery like this anywhere else in the region. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
