One of my favorites. New lighting sets a nice ambiance, goes to show this owner listens to customers. To start we were served a tasty fresh salad, both Greek and ceaser were perfect.I am sold on the filet mignon from our last visit, so I didn’t even need a menu. It was again cooked perfectly, tender as can be with nice charcoal flavour. The shish taouk was above what I previously held as the best. Fresh ingredients, tender meat and overall very satisfying.Highly recommend you go in and give this gem a try, it holds the best value around.25 Oct, 2014Met the high rating. Was taken back by the empty restaurant, however we gave it a chance. Lone gentleman operating the restaurant, very personable. We both ordered the Filet Mignon, it came cooked to perfection, and extremely tender almost melt in your mouth.Very good value, funny the bill would be twice as much at the big label steakhouse and not as good, never mind the wait time. Very satisfied Could improve the lighting, the overhead neons make it cafeteria light, I would lose the neons and replace them with some mood lighting, would be more on par with the quality of the food here and set a better ambiance.

Best value for meals in Milton. I used to go to pita nutso all the time, then I tried hood and grill. Prices are 1/3 less and the portions are near double. There is no better value in Milton. Where else can you get 4 huge shish ta-wook (spelled phonetically) pitas for under 25 bucks?! I can’t even finish the small portion let alone the large. Check this place out, hard working guy from Egypt who knows the importance of good prices and huge portions. Sidenote: in all fairness I should mention we tried the calamari once… tasted like fish. Stick to the pitas and plated meals, you will not be disappointed!

Great food! Just had for the first time since moving to milton. Fantastic shawarma and souvlaki. Owner was very nice. Heard the filet dinner is amazing. I will be trying that next time.

Poor. Dirty, slow service, can’t keep people to work for him because of attitude and cheap paying.

Amazing Service!. We came here on a Saturday evening at around 7:30 pm for dinner as we read the wonderful reviews, and had recently obtained a coupon which we wanted to use. When we walked in, there was only one other table with guests, with a man in the kitchen preparing the items. We walked up to the counter and noticed that there were a few menus that were sitting on the front counter. The man then came up to us at the front counter and asked us if we would be dining in; we both responded with a yes. He then told us to choose a seat, at which point, we chose a booth near the counter. The man brought us our menus, then went back behind the counter to prepare another order. We perused the menu quickly, then made our choices. I chose the Beef Shawarma with Caesar Salad and French Fries, while my husband chose the Grilled Salmon with Greek Salad and Rice. The man then came to take our orders, then hurried back to the counter as other guests had walked-in at that time.As we were waiting for our meals, we noticed that the restaurant was quite large, with ample seating (both tables and booths) for at least fifty people. The restaurant also had two entrances, one at the back, and one at the front. There were pictures of wine bottles and other interesting items hanging up on the walls, while the tables each had medium-sized lanterns, with salsa music playing in the background. After about five minutes, the man brought out our salads, which were to be eaten first. The salads were a good size, and we were happy that they came out before the main meal in order to keep our appetites satisfied. I don’t know which croutons were used in the Caesar Salad however, they were TO DIE FOR! They were the best croutons that I had ever tasted, I wish I was able to have more! The dressing on the salads were also just the perfect amount, not too little, and not too much, with the salads tasting fresh. We were satisfied after we had finished our salads, as we waited for our main dishes to arrive. We waited about fifteen minutes after we had finished our salads for our main dishes to arrive. As we were waiting, a few guests had come in and asked for take-out therefore, the man was getting their dishes ready, along with ours. We understood that since he was alone, he was busy therefore, we forgave the small delay in our food being given to us. Once the food arrived, we were starving, and dug into our dishes immediately. The Beef Shawarma was fried with onions, with Tzatziki Sauce drizzled on top, and placed to one side of the dish. The other side of the dish had the French Fries, which were thick and hot, tasting like they had just come out of the deep-fryer. The beef was good however, I would have preferred it without onions, I suppose I should have asked if it were fried with onions or not before I ordered it. The Grilled Salmon was a large piece, with a huge portion of rice, with Tzatziki sauce drizzled on the rice. The man had also squirted lemon juice on the beef and salmon, giving it a nice zest.As we were eating, the man came by to ask how everything was tasting. He then asked us where we were from, and if we had ever heard of his restaurant before. We spoke to him for a few minutes, with his kind demeanour shining through. Once we had finished our meal, we went up to the cash register and paid for our meal, which came out to about $29 with the 15% coupon that we had. We gave the man $35.00 as we were impressed with his service and hospitality, even though he was alone in the restaurant, and needed to catch-up with all of the orders that came through. He thanked us for coming, and genuinely showed his gratitude for our presence in the restaurant. We were impressed with how wonderful the service was, and how much food we were given for such a low-price. I would highly recommend that you all give this place a try, it will be well-worth it!
