La Rose has been a neighbourhood icon for over 30 years. All of the baked goods and food is fresh and tasty.I cannot go to any family event and not bring ‘La Rose bread’.From traditionalFrenchandItalianbread to low gluten potato bread, they cover all diets and tastes.Their hot table is amazing with new specials everyday and traditional classics always on the menu. The shelves are full of Italian, British and International imports you can’t get anywhere else.Fresh produce, bakery, ready made food and sundries. La Rose is a great place to go!
What I love about this place is the pride and passion the owners have in their product and what they do. The baked goods are made fresh in store daily (and are Sooo DELICIOUS) and they have a variety of imported goods you won’t find at big box grocery stores. Definitely worth checking out.
This magnificent jem is right around the corner and worth a drop in on the weekend. You must appreciate how their grocery store and ready made hot items have charmed Milton for over 30 years. Come for something Italian and you may discover other European treats you had no idea you would find. From cheese to chocolate, sandwiches, pizza dough or other fancy deserts… you need to experience it to fully understand. Delicious and classy, a wonderful part of the downtown Milton. Always a pleasure to try something new.
What A Gem!. I had wanted to come to this place after reading reviews on here. I walked-in on a Saturday morning at around 10:00 am. When I walked-in, I was truly impressed to see how large and well-stocked this place was! The store was divided up into various sections; deli, meat, bakery, dairy, and grocery; similar to a real grocery store. I loved how many items were in the store, most of them imported from Italy. They also had an olive oil taste test when I was there, which looked amazing! I decided to have some breakfast during my visit as I was hungry when I walked-in. I went to the bakery section, which had a display case filled with fresh cakes, pastries, and cookies. I asked if I could have a slice of Carrot Cake and a Hot Chocolate. I noticed that they had a large coffee machine, along with a bread slicer nearby. I found that the service was exceptional, with each individual that I had interacted with greeting and assisting me with kindness.I only had to wait about five minutes for my Hot Chocolate to be prepared and for my Carrot Cake to be given to me. I was then handed a tray with both items on them. I asked where I had to pay, and I was told that I had to pay with the cashier at the front. I then went to the front and paid for my items, which came out to $5.18 ($2.29 for the Hot Chocolate, and $2.29 for the Carrot Cake).Once I had paid for my items, I went to sit in the small area which consisted of tables and chairs, along with a large dressed-up stuffed camel (which looked quite cute). I was the only one seated in that area at the time. The tables and chairs felt rustic, boasting somewhat of an antique-feel.The Hot Chocolate that I received was very tasty, with just the perfect amount of chocolate and milk. It wasnt too sweet, and filled to the brim in a large mug. The Carrot Cake was nice, not too sweet either, with the slice being the perfect amount for me. The Sicilian Cannoli did look very good though, along with the many other desserts that were displayed.I was highly-impressed with how delicious the items were at this place, along with the multitude of products that existed. I will surely stop-in again sometime soon to try some of the other items in the other departments, and possibly for lunch as Ive read their lunch menu is divine!
Deelicious. Awesome place to grab a hot lunch and fresh baked goods. Everything is fresh and authentic.
Love it. Great food ,great sevice..great itatian place..
A bit overpriced but they do serve the best god damn cannolis you can find in the GTA. Variety of food from UK as well including the infamous Walkers crisps! Definitely will be going back for more.
