Worst customer service – EVER!. I have been coming to this place for years due to convenience & fresh Italian food. I have decided after today, that I won’t be going back. I am sick and tired of their poor customer service, the 3 ladies that serve you are always in a terrible mood, I think out the of the 3 years I have been going there they have never noticed that I am a return customer & never even cracked a smile. On one occasion I was made to feel bad for the way I was pronouncing one of their pasta dishes.. I think that they would have a lot more return customers if they would take the time to acknowledge their customers & thank them for their business from time to time, sometimes simply with a hello & a warm smile.
My Experience at Diana Pasticcerea – Great Pastries and Food…Service depends on who you get!. This is my experience at Diana Pasticcerea when I went in for lunch one day. I noticed a lady speaking loudly in Italian completely ignoring me as a customer. Another employee that works at the front asked me if I needed help. As she was serving me, the lady who was speaking in Italian, started to argue with the girl that was serving me (totally unprofessional and rude) right in front of me. The poor girl serving me stayed quiet and didn’t say anything and went on to ensure my lunch order was completed and I can see she was hurt by the way she was being treated. The lady who spoke Italian started to have a tantrum and was not serving any of her customers. The one time I did see her serve a customer, she didn’t understand what the customer was asking, the only way she understood was when they asked her in Italian – yes its a great Italian bakery but you should be able to serve all customers and understand their wants. Then I look over at the deli machine and what do I see? she is slicing meat and placing the meat in her hands with no gloves on and not even paying attention to what she was doing – that is unsanitary how can you serve customers food that have not been handled properly. While eating my lunch and looking at the plates of those that she did serve, I noticed such an inconsistency as some plates were filled to the rim and others were barely full; she didn’t give the same amount to each customer. Minutes later another woman came from the back yelling in Italian, how rude is it to firstly yell and secondly not acknowledge your customers. I could not believe that these two ladies were arguing in Italian in a bakery filled with customers. The one girl (who served me) was running around, serving all the customers and had no support. One of the two ladies that were arguing in Italian cashed me out, well she was slow and man you better watch out she almost over charged me if I didn’t check. My lunch is half an hour, and I don’t think the cashier felt a sense of urgency at all. Its a shame that the two ladies (who mind you are the owners of the bakery) ruined the experience for me, this isn’t the first time I have seen their lack of professionalism and man its a shame because their desserts and food are really good. All my praise goes to the one employee who helped me and ensured all her customers were served and she is beyond friendly, she made my experience good, not the other two ladies!!
Service and food and all the above. Okay Please never ever go to this bakery again. The service sucks and the food is horrible and they over charge. Please be careful they over charge all the time.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. The owners and staff that work at this bakery are rude and obnoxious. They have absolutely no people skills. I am never going to this bakery again.
Great lunch place. If you’re looking for authentic, homemade italian food – this is the place! I’ve been going there for 7 years and the food is always good.Yes, the service can take a while on a busy day…they take their time with each customer, and the serving are generous.Go check it out! I guarantee you won’t be dissapointed. I recommend the veal sandwich or (my favorite) the lasagna! Enjoy
Staff could care less if you’re there to spend money. I stood in line, being ignored completely by all of two people that were just hanging out, shooting the breeze. Don’t go here, there are many better bakeries in the neighbourhood.
