Not sure why several other reviewers had bad experience here. I had a quite good one . Though the restaurant was understaffed, the waiter was very professional and tried his best to help the customers. The 3.5 is definitely for the food which was top notch. Ordered Szechuan chicken and hakka chicken noodles. Very large quantity, I would share one dish with three. Good tasty preparation. I will certainly be back for more.
I have never experienced anything like this living in Canada. Worst experience.Very bad food wastage of time and money. No customer service sense rather insulting behaviour. Owner doesnt have manners to talk to there customers.Very unimpressed and unprofessional Instead I would suggest Eddie’s Wok N Roll at 6400 Millcreek in Mississauga 🙂 Better food AND service!
Quality food, good service and decent ambience setup a perfect evening n of course a nice cold beer to go with it.The food was really amazing. We had chicken manchow soup and for appetizer we had drums of heaven which was absolutely the best chicken lollipop I’ve had in a really long time. For our main course we had Szechuan Hakka chow mein – shrimp, ginger chicken wet. All the items we ordered were tasty and fairly priced.Ambience – 4Service – 4Food – 4
Fine ambience, tasty food, big quantity and economical price, found my new permanent hakka place.Tried their chicken lolipop, szheuan chicken and hakka rice, all good !!
My boyfriend and I came here for lunch yesterday (Monday). It was our first time at Hakka Ren and it has already become our favourite Hakka cuisine restaurant. Food was excellent and so was the service. We had good privacy and our server, Selena, was lovely – very courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. And in terms of atmosphere, this place was VERY clean and hygienic. Not a whole lot of space to walk around and yet comfortable. We’ll be coming here very often now!
06-Octthe service has gone down… the servers server water glasses while holding glasses by the rim.. they forget to bring the serving plate while getting your order and get them when one is almost done… the worst part .. I ordered schezwan fried rice./ they serve them with PEAS and when I asked the server to check with the manager, we get a response the manager can not anything about it…This place has gone in terms of quality.. I used to recommend this place to all.. unfortunately this was the last time I visited this place and I referred this place to anyone.. this place is a NO NO!-It was 5D experience last weekend in terms of service. Food was excellent.D: disgustingD: disturbing D: disappointingD: disrespectful D: disastrous 1) soup was cold when we asked the lady who was serving our table she took ample time to come and address the concern. Funny part being she said I’ll put the soup in the microwave and warm it up ( seriously) … even after that it was not warm 2) my guest was still eating his food and the server was so rude she picked up his plate while he was doing so and we told her that he had not finished his food.Sorry to say but you have to seriously look at your service quality, food being good if the service is so bad it won’t fly ..I would recommend your food not your service..
On a Saturday evening dinner, we were seated immediately. The restaurant was almost full. The staff courteous and could converse with ease. The interior was done well and clean. We ordered a medium Hot and Sour Soup which came out in a few minutes. The colour not the usual Hakka style as it looked more brownish and many of the Hakka soups were dark Soya Sauce coloured. The temperature not too hot. The spice level more towards mild or medium rather than spicy. The sourness was OK. Would have loved some fresh veggies in it. We also got a Veggie Fried Rice, a Veg Manchurian, a Veg Hakka Chowmein and a Mixed Vegetables in Hot Garlic Sauce. And yes a bowl of plain rice. The plain rice quantity was amazing. We requested less oil to be used in Fried Rice and Chowmein. The rice was done properly but not the noodles. The Rice although good, lacked the spicy flavour that comes along with Hakka food. The same for noodles as well. The quantity was fairly good. The Veggie Manchurian was perfectly done. The mini pakoras Fried to perfection and sauced just with the right amount of spice. However the quantity was a big miss. When you compare the rice and Chowmein the Manchurian felt as it was half plate. And that’s we had to order the mixed veggies in garlic sauce. Same the quantity was way too less. The dish also lacked garlic flavour. I have had this dish elsewhere and you felt garlicky at first bite, here it felt that garlic was probably a side spice. A good place, but they need to re-think about their quantity.
