Avoid this place! We came with a group of 14 (which shouldn’t have been a problem because the place was empty.) The server was great but had a little trouble serving a big group. We didn’t complain when our food came late or when a lot of us didn’t get what we ordered. Food was pretty bad as it reflects it’s ‘low cost’ When we went to pay, most of us gave a 30% tip (because the owner snuck in 15% automatically). There were still many people paying when the owner of the restaurant accused our group of not paying for two beers and threatened to call the police. Meanwhile, 6 people were still in the process of paying. Beware of bad service, dirty tables, mediocre food, mystery charges and an unprofessional owner.

Good Specials. New owners recently, same old place. BUT, the Roast Beef special is no longer available.Thursday special is 35 cent chicken wings, and 4 dollar drafts. Pretty good. (live one man band playing)But Wedn deal is jumbo burger and fries for $7 and bottled beer for $3. This is unbeatable. Many choices of specialty burgers for that price. And the fries are a very large portion.Had the Jalapeno burger and it was VERY tasty. Biggest burger I’ve seen in a restaurant.
Great Sundowner Deal. Roast Prime Rib sandwich + fries = $1.50 That’s the best deal I’ve seen in 20 years and I couldn’t believe it when we walked in by chance late on a Thursday afternoon. The sandwich is smallish about 6oz – would take a couple to satisfy a hungry adult – but the beef was excellent. Slow roasted, pink, juicy and delicious! And at the price you could have 2 or 3 and it would still be a great deal. The Coke cost $2.75 a glass but they’ve got to make a buck somewhere so I’m not complaining. The crowd was mainly after-work 30-50 set, in for a pint and dinner after work in this predominantly industrial area on the western flank of Pearson Airport. With $3.99 pints, a patio in the summer and a variety of sports broadcasts on wall-mounted flat screens plus a 10ft big screen, the place is a cozy, understated refuge from the noise and bustle.I will definitely stop in next time I am in the area.
