Really bad experience. We ordered food and waited and waited while other customers who were eating Indian food were severed. After waiting for 40 minutes we asked for manager. We were told that manager is cooking and busy, so cannot come out.. Finally, half food was served. We left just after eating two dishes while we ordered 4. We were really embarrassed because we were with guests.. They are very unprofessional, water smell. servers don’t know or don’t want to give you any silver. If you need anything you have to get up and get it yourself.

You get up to order and pay and get your own drink.Food:The water had a very weird stale tasteThey now have Indian/Pakistani Food options along with Italian.Caesar Salad: TastySaffron Poutine: Very delicious. Probably the most delicious item on the menu.Chicken Parmesan: I found my chicken to be on the drier side.Penne: it wasn’t bad but nothing too excitingChicken Kabob: it was dry and kind of hard to eat since they don’t give any dressing to go with it. Also it was just packed with hot peppers.Price: The food is definitely a little over priced for some items.
came here with my wife and inlaws. This place is unhygienic, unwelcoming, horrendous service and quality of food. When entering a place where you spend your hard earn money, you expect to be treated like a guest. Spending your money here will make you upset for sure.
Not a enjoyable experiance. Food was very bland means no taste at all, I had Italian food frequently, but this one was not at all Italian.Service is very slow , took them 80 min to serve usI don’t know if I will be going there anymore
Horrible horrible HORRIBLE service! My family and I were seated at a dirty table with no napkins/utensils. the waitress had a strong case of BO going on, we lost our appetite but didn’t want to just get up and leave (NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: make sure your employees are well kept and have good hygiene especially in a damn restaurant where people eat) We gave our order and clearly stated which drinks we wanted. Half hour goes by and we still haven’t even gotten a pitcher of water or any drinks! We ask the waitress again to get drinks, she says okay and then we see her go behind the counter to count her tips. What the hell?! We got up and stormed out of there, the manager didn’t even seem to care. It’s funny how every restaurant, besides this one, was overpacked on a Friday night, I see this place closing down in the future.
Excellent Experience. We have been going to Kara Mia since 2008 when they opened this location in Mississauga. I never thought about writing my review on it till today when I read all these weird reviews (not sure if they are real or from other wonna be who are closing one by one). One thing my friends and I will tell you for sure that this is undoubtedly the best non desi place in the GTA. They are the pioneers and it shows in everything they do.We discovered Kara Mia when I moved here from Ottawa. It was a hitting a jack pot feeling for me and my several friends. To us, it is the best gift Toronto has to offer! We have been to both the locations several times and have thoroughly enjoyed the Kara Mia experience! When we first visited Kara Mia Mississauga back in 2009, we were so happy that finally we have a place who offers food for the first & second generation at a very affordable prices, a 10 oz Halal AAA sirloin for around $ 20?, where can you find a Halal steak for this price. FYI, non Halal restaurants offer the same size steaks at min $ 35+ onwards!I was so surprised to see people making statements here about this place being expensive, wait time, service . No offence, but let me make it easy for these people. If you are a NKB (nan/kebob/briyani) comparison mentality, then this place is not for you. You will for sure find this place expensive. At least I know this much, when you cook fresh food without any tenderizer especially steaks, it takes minimum 20-25 mins ez. Something like fillet mignon, min 30 mins! Thats when the appetizer come in handy!This is not a zoo like takeout/self serve kebob or briyani place where you get treated like thugs and given heavily tenderized low quality meats or frozen/precooked to micro waved food etc. Dont trust me just go and visit them, there are plenty of them in the neighborhood! Way to go Kara Mia, keep it up!
Food is a hit or miss, very inconsistent. Service is always horrible and their prices keep increasing. I don’t know if I will be going there anymore.
