Great Family-Owned Business!. We had come here on a Saturday morning at around 10:30 am to grab something quick for breakfast. When we walked-in, we were pleasantly surprised to see that all of the food items were located in cases that were lined-up against the wall. I then understood that it was self-serve therefore, I grabbed a tray and a pair of tongs that were at the front door, then began searching the cases to find something suitable to eat. There were quite a number of items to choose from, such as Hot Dog Buns, Coconut Buns, Pineapple Buns, BBQ Pork Buns, Curry Pork Buns, Egg Tarts, and various other buns, cookies, and bread products. It was quite difficult to choose a few items however, I settled on two BBQ Pork Buns, one Butter Twist, one Coconut Bun, one Egg Tart, and a small cup of Hong Kong Style Milk-Tea, which is something that they are known for. I noticed that the prices per item were quite cheap, with many of the buns costing only $0.80 or $0.90 a piece, definitely very reasonably priced!Once I had placed all of my items on the tray, I went to the cash-register to pay. I noticed that there was a sign that said Cash Only at the cash register. Luckily I had cash on me to pay for the items that I had on my tray. At the cash register, I was greeted by a kind younger woman, whom asked if these would be all of the items that I wanted for that time. I told her that I would also like a small cup of Hong Kong Style Milk-Tea, which was $1.80. As my Hong Kong Style Milk-Tea was being prepared by one of the individuals at the front, the young woman rang up all of my items, which came out to only $5.80! I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap all of the items were, it was definitely a great start to the visit. Once my Hong Kong Style Milk-Tea was ready, the little girl that was helping the young woman behind the cash register told me that there was no sugar in the tea, and that the sugar packets were on the side-counter. I thought this was very cute as this bakery is family-owned, which makes it more enjoyable to see.Once I had paid for my items, I sat down near the open area to the stove, which had a chef preparing more items to be placed in the outside containers. I decided to try the BBQ Pork Bun, which was absolutely delicious! It was well-made and fresh, with just the perfect amount of pork inside. Next, I tried the Coconut Bun, which was sweet (but not too sweet), and flavourful! This bakery is known for their Coconut Buns and Pineapple Buns therefore, I was glad that I had the chance to try one of their most well-known items. I also tried a bit of the Butter Twist which was doughy and fresh, not too sweet at all!As I was eating the buns, I was also drinking the Hong Kong Style Milk-Tea, which was a delicious array of milk and tea, with a small hint of sweetness due to the sugar packets that I had added. I thought it was a delicious addition to the buns that I had ordered. I also enjoyed the atmosphere as there were about three small tables, with beautiful flowers surrounding them. There were also handwritten words and drawings on the chalkboards on the wall in both Chinese and English. I also noticed that the young woman behind the counter came out to clean the tables that were vacant, which was great to see.Once I was finished, I went to the cash register to ask the young woman if I could have a bag to place the remaining items into. She handed me a bag nicely, and I placed the items inside. There were quite a few people at that point getting take-out and also dining-in. I then went to the garbage can to throw out the wrappers that I had used. There was no place to put my tray therefore, the young woman that was behind the cash register told me that I could hand my tray to her, which I thought was very kind of her. She then said goodbye to me, and thanked me for coming. I thought she was quite pleasant to be around, creating a positive atmosphere in the bakery. All in all, I was impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere of this bakery. Although they only opened last week, they seemed to be more than ready to provide great service and food to their customers. One thing I would suggest is to add a piece of paper to each tray as the food items may touch the trays as they are being put on. I would highly-recommend this bakery for delicious Hong Kong based-goods!
