2018/10/09I was heading to the US and I had time for lunch at the airport. I discovered The Burger Federation, a new restaurant, in the departures area for the smaller regional jets. They offer both takeout and table service. The menu is mainly about angus beef burgers with international flavours, such as the French Connection, Baja Crunch, Greek Isles and more. There are also chicken and vegetarian options. All of their burgers are priced a la carte, and all sides are extra. I chose The Roncy ($10.95) which is one of their least expensive burgers. It comes with mozzarella, caramelized onions, lettuce, pickles and mustard. It was a decent enough burger, served on a plain, fresh bun. I also had the Mixed Salad ($6.50), with a base of mesclun with cherry tomatoes, red onions and a balsamic vinaigrette. A bit overdressed. Service was reasonably fast, but it wasnt too busy when I was there. However, the burger and salad was over $22 with tax and tip included, and I only had water with my meal. Therefore be prepared for a nice, overpriced burger.
