This place is a nice edition to the city it has a lovely mural and a relaxed hip vibe to it. I’ve had the hot and spicy smoothie which provided a kick of heat and had a sip of the iced rose tea from my mom the food will be next. This vegan friendly cafe is not offering anything worth celebrating it’s very basic as my second expectations were shot I had a chocolate this time around and it was generic even I could do better while the grilled cheese was just pepperoni’s and cheese on average bread they really aren’t doing much more you could do in your kitchen but jacking up the prices.
Came here with a friend, attracted by its vegan minimalist and hipster concept. I had heard great things about this place, and was very excited to try it. I ordered their portobello pesto toast, and although I thoroughly enjoyed it, I did find it to be overly salty. Moreover, the price was insane! For $5.65, I was getting ready measly piece of toast. Last but not least, I found the use of plastic utensils very ironic and not aligned with their concept of being earth friendly at all. The Cold Pressery is greatly overpriced, though I can definitely see it as a first date place!
I really wanted to like this place. It looks beautiful and the staff is really nice. However that’s where the good stops. The food is extremely overpriced for the portion size. I had a piece of pie that was something like $7 and I ate it in 4 bites. I had to pay extra for ice cream. Quite ridiculous. I had a smoothie that tasted horrible. I’m all about eating healthy but healthy shouldn’t be an excuse for bad tasting food. It’s really too bad. I won’t be going back.
LOVE the aesthetics of this place. Very well designed with clean, organic lines. Hugely California inspired. Cold press juice here is creative, affordable, fresh and all done in house. We visited when they first opened and I think since then they’ve expanded the menu drastically. The Melon Mojito and the Juicy Fruit were my two favourite. The chia coconut water was lip smacking refreshing and I could have devoured a gallon of it! I still have dreams about the avocado toast and acai bowl. Everything is vegan and (i think) almost organic. But for someone not living the vegan life – Wish they would serve meat thehungrygnome.net
Cool little space in Mississauga that sells all things good for you. Tasty and I like how there are ipads to entertain yourself while you wait for your smoothie or cold pressed juices to be made.
