I’m not one to complain but this place is a dump, food was terrible and the service was especially bad. Wouldn’t recommend eating at this filthy, over priced waste of retail space. Though I don’t know what kind of meat it was, it definitely was not chicken. I have gut fears I won’t even share…

Went to Wilcox for an early dinner with my family. We sat on the patio and the setting was very nice, relaxed, and clean. We shared the lobster poutine as an app. It wasn’t really a poutine (no gravy) and was more like fries with a cheesy lobster sauce but it was very delicious nonetheless. For entres, my brother ordered steak frites; I had a bite and it was good. I got the Canadian burger, which interestingly had a berry compote as a sauce and was topped with frisee. Personally, the frisee’s texture was a bit unpleasant for me so I removed it; the berry compote wasn’t too strong and worked with the burger. My dad ordered the fried chicken sandwich. It was fairly large and quite yummy. And my mom ordered the Wilcox burger but I didn’t get to try it but she seemed to enjoy it. Lastly, everyone was full but I think a meal is not complete without dessert. I choose the key lime pie, which was good except for the topping. The sugar was very pronounced in both taste and texture–I ended up scraping off all but a thin layer (which was just the right amount of sweetness for me).

One of the better places I’ve had the chance to dine in. Food, atmosphere and staff are great, however, it does get a little pricey.Came here for lunch on a Thursday with my girlfriends. We were seated at the dining area by the bar which was brightly lit by sunlight.. Or rather clouds.. Waitress was on cue with her water refilling and we made a joke about it but loved the attention she paid at our table nonetheless.Few items on the menu. We ordered the lobster poutine and scotch egg together to start. Apps were a little disappointing with the size but the opposite in flavour. Lobster poutine was our fave out of the two. So creamy and cheesy! But more lobster would have been nice.Next up, I got the wilcox burger, my friend ordered the southern fried chicken and the other got steak and frites. Burger was good but I felt like it was mixing something.. Not sure what. Fried chicken was delish but everything else on the plate was alright. Steak and frites… Oh man.. there was so much fries!! Steak was tender and with the chimichurri sauce.. So good! For dessert. My friends both ordered the churros and I got the mini key lime pie. Nothing special there.. It was okay.Overall, great place to celebrate and hang out with friends. It’s a change from all the chain restos in and around square one.

Went to the Wilcox on a Tuesday night for the Oyster special. We were seated upstairs in a well lit area. We ordered 2 dozen oysters which were fresh and came with the basic sauces. We also got the Mac and cheese and the pulled pork nachos. The Mac and cheese was very good and you got bits of actual bacon inside. The nachos were fresh and delicious especially with their house made salsa. Since the nachos were so huge we took them home. Overall a good spot in Mississauga for a date or night out with friends. The $1 oyster deal is well worth it!

I stumbled upon the Wilcox after seeing some delicious looking food on Instagram and I read some reviews and decided to go check it out since its not too far from me. I went on a Friday evening and got seated right away (luckily) as it was really busy! The Wilcox kinda looks like a house and its really cozy inside with pretty loud music and tvs around showing sports games that are going on. They have a DJ on some nights too. Our waitress was really kind and I decided to go with the steak and frites and my boyfriend got the Wilcox burger. They forgot my boyfriend substituted his fries for poutine but they brought out the poutine really quickly after we mentioned it. I loved my steak and frites. Loved the steak pieces with chimichurri and the fries were fantastic. My only complaint was the portion was kinda small. I came really hungry but I could of had another portionbut maybe because it was so good! I tried my boyfriends poutine and had a bite of his burger and it was perfect. We also had the churros for dessert. They were mini churros with dulce de leche for dipping on the plate and that on its own completely satisfied my cravings. At the end of the night our waitress forgot and thought she already gave us the bill and the machine to pay a bit of a mix up with the fries/poutine and this but she was really polite and it was a busy night so understandable but nothing changed how I felt about this place. Its pretty close to Square 1 and quite honestly I much prefer it here rather than all the chains around Square One. I loved it and definitely will be coming back.

Top spot in Mississauga. This is no ordinary place. The food was stunning every time I went. You can really taste the passion that the cooks put into their dishes. The Alaskan Baked Cake they make is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. I tried a few dishes here and they were all outstanding. This is really one step above everything else I have tried in Mississauga.

Really very impressive renovation, from what used to be scruffy’s. Great vibe, pleasant staff, fresh menu! Great place to hang out with friends for a bite + drink. Definitely recommended!
