I went to this place with my fiance and my brother. The staff was quiet nice. We went in busy hours but even then their was no lack of hospitality. Food was quiet nice, they lack some what in presentation, the taste was good but not like the real pakistani or indian cuisine. Overall it was a good experience.

We visited zauq today. Ordered chicken biryani, naan n chicken kurchan. The food wasn’t good at all. Over priced for the quality and quantity. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Ordered nihari. Meat was a little tough but otherwise amazing. Price was ver reasonable, ample seating and pleasant inside decor. I would most certainly go again.

We first tasted food from Zauq when we attended an Iftaar hosted by a relative who had the food catered from Zauq. Once we had fallen under the spell, Zauq has only gotten us more and more mesmerised. We always order the following:1. Zauq Special BBQ Platter – The standouts are the Beef/Chicken Seekh Kabab, the Bhiari Kabab and the Beef Short Ribs2. Haleem – Oh the Haleem, I could write odes to it. The benchmark for a great Haleem to me has always been the one served at Pista House in Hyderabad/Bangalore. This one though made of Beef unlike the lamb one there knocks it out of the park. Simply divine3. Biryani – We have had the Lamb and the Veal Biryani and I prefer the former4. Halwa Puri – Three large Puri’s are served with a thin potato curry, a chana sabzi and a well made halwa5. Wraps – Chicken Tikka Wrap and Seekh Kabab Wrap6. Achari Chicken – It was just about okWe have always eschewed the ubiquitous Buffet which always seems to be in demand when we go there usually on weekends. There is ample parking in the strip mall where it is located at Dixie and Eglinton Ave W in Mississauga.

They never have full menu items, the most running items always run out. Feel like this isnt a restaurant, took 4 friends for dinner and called to confirm yet they ran out when we reached 15 min later. Go eatmore and save urself the embarassment.

I went to zauq on a busy day so I didn’t expect much on the service but it took them 30 minutes to get the water on our table. Service was super slow and servers were not at all paying attention but one person was nice who looked after us and took the order. Order came pretty quick in 10 minutes. We ordered Fish Tikkas, Karahy Chicken and Baingan Baghaara. Food was undoubtedly delicious but what ruined the food was the amount of oil in the food. I had to take the oil off the curries with a spoon to make it edible. The curry was floating in excessive oil which is really bad for cholesterol levels. I highly suggest the restaurant to use the oil which is required and not float the curries in oil. Place will be the best if restaurant can fix this issue. I will revisit if this problem is solved. Please see the attached picture for the amount of oil I was talking about.

Yesterday I ordered for take away in restaurant. My order included Nihari, Chicken Tikka Boti, Chicken Tikka Masala and Angara chicken with Naans, salad and riata. Restaurant rep gave me 20 min for order completion but it took almost 50min just before 10 minutes to Aftar. I advice md them if they unable to make order on time, no one pressurizing to do so simply they don’t need to take order or better inform customer real time duration. Now comes to food. There was no condiments with Nihari, I don’t know it is happen because of time or they give like this. Chicken Tikka masala is really good but Angara chicken, still I didn’t get that it is really Angara chicken? Means simply NOT GOOD. Chicken Tikka Boti was the best meal there Personally I had not a good experience with them. So might be I have to thinks a lot to go there again. Reason of this is very slow and mis management.
