We experienced this amazing restaurant tonight for the first time. What a wonderful dinner we had. I had the lamb shank with pured parsnips, roasted carrots, potatoes and pickled beets. It was Devine!My husband, brother and sister-in-law had the braised short rib which looked and smelled delicious. For dessert we had the best bread pudding I have ever had. The atmosphere was lovely and our server was delightful and professional. Thank you Heirloom for making our Birthday dinner so enjoyable.
The only challenge I experienced while at Heirloom was feeling sad that I had only discovered this extremely fine restaurant 5 years too late! I agree with others: no question one of the top restaurants in Ottawa and the region. I was very satisfied with the pat to start, matched wonderfully with chutney and pickled green beans. I also loved the tender, flavourful, delicious braised beef (anyone who knows me knows I do not use hyperbole lightly; each bite was that satisfying). The cheescake was heavenly smooth and a wonderful way to finish a fabulous meal. Service was attentive and warm, and very accomodating to my daughter’s tastes (which we both sincerely appreciated). I cannot wait to explore other dishes on the menu.
Happened to be in Almonte and went here for lunch. Didn’t have a reservation but we were able to be seated before the rush. The lamb burger was very good and the soup of the day was wonderful. It was a Mexican soup.
By far the best restaurant in the Ottawa area. Imaginative meat, seafood and vegetarian offerings that change seasonally. The soups and appetizers are especially fine. In several years’ visits, it has never disappointed. The harvest-time menus are amazing and there is a lovely wine list. Service has always been very prompt.
Nothing short of excellent! My wife had braised beef rib and I had the lamb shank. Our son enjoyed the salmon and his girlfriend had the tagliatelle with venison. All agreed that this place gets it!!! Great service and fantastic food! We will be back for sure. I wish Arnprior had a place like this.
Delicious Specials and Treats. Amazing service and food. A spectacular rhubarb and raspberry iced tea and a gnocchi pulled pork poutine. One of the best restaurants in Almonte.
