FOOD:We had come here on a Sunday afternoon at around 12:30 pm for something to eat. My husband and I had decided on the Butter Chicken ($8.99), which came with rice, two pieces of naan, and chicken with sauce and yogurt. I was disappointed with how the meal tasted; there was a very small portion of the rice, with only a dozen or so pieces of chicken, and not enough sauce for all of the rice and chicken. Also, the naan were cold (not warmed-up or toasted), and the entire dish itself wasn’t very warm (temperature-wise). The taste of it was actually pretty-good however, there wasn’t enough of it, and it wasn’t warm enough for my liking.ATMOSPHERE:This caf was situated inside of IKEA on the second floor of the store. It was very crowded, and the line-up to order the food was quite long, in which we had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be served. I found that it was much too loud, and that the tables were too close together, making it difficult to navigate with a baby stroller. I wouldn’t want to dine here for a long time as it was much too uncomfortable.SERVICE:The line was very long to begin with, and the servers behind the counter were friendly enough, but didn’t do anything out of the ordinary to make our stay memorable. It was like that of a fast food restaurant, in which you order your meal, then you sit down with it and dine; there were no servers to come over and ask you how your meal was, or to take away your tray, most of it was self-serve.COST:1 Butter Chicken Dish: $8.99 + Tax = $10.16WOULD YOU RETURN?No; the food wasn’t what I was hoping for, and the price was too high, along with the crowded and noisy atmosphere.

I am a big IKEA fan and am thrilled they are building a store in London for 2019. While the furniture and numerous other home staples are allure so is their food services.Arrive up to 30 minutes from opening and enjoy a free cup of coffee. Spend your time wandering the store looking for the exit and build up an appetite when you find the large food service canteen on the second floor. All store we have been in have the same model of both the large cafeteria style food service area complimented by a large seating area facing a wall of windows. Items are reasonably priced, refills on coffee or other drinks are free and free baby food is provided to new parents who buy at least one adult meal. There is a lot of choice of both hot or cold offerings but my money is always on their soup of the day and Swedish meatball meal. They also have a special of 2 hot dogs and a soda for $2.50. Not gourmet but tasty and filling. Plan to visit.
